Truesoul Records are proud to announce the release of ‘Let Your Soul Outside’, the debut album from Reset Robot in April 2014.

Behind the Reset Robot project is Dave Robertson, a producer who has released standout singles on labels like Dogmatik, Intacto and Adam Beyer’s Truesoul imprint over the past 5 years. Now he steps up with his debut album, the stunning ‘Let Your Soul Outside’.

The LP was written at Reset Robot’s home studio in Portsmouth and is an album of fascinating textures inspired by “all the music I listen to and love!” says the producer himself. “I've wanted to do this for a long time and all of a sudden I had 8 or 9 tracks together which were a little bit different. I added a few more and asked a close friend, Tom Powell from Mister Woo, to add vocals to a couple of them and it was ready.”
The result is a full length that touches on many different moods and emotions, starting with the melodically soothing tech funk of ‘Guitar Man’. Tracks like ‘Little Alice’ then pick up the momentum thanks to slick beats and crisp percussion and ‘Sizzler’ introduces a soulful vocal element over more tortured sounding, synth-laden grooves.

It’s not all full on dancefloor material though, with tracks like ‘Desi Beats’ it allows you a little time to breath thanks to their more widescreen and laidback vibe, whilst ‘Sausage’ strikes a truly emotive pose that has your thoughts turning inwards.

With this album Reset Robot proves both his range and his dexterity – no two tracks sound the same, and instead the Portsmouth producer explores every nook and cranny with a fine attention to detail that really makes the whole thing sing. ‘Let Your Soul Outside’ is a stellar achievement.

On September 2nd Techno mainstays Pig&Dan are set to release a special EP entitled ‘Modular Baptism (Remixes)’ via their own imprint, ELEVATE, which will soon celebrate its milestone 50th release.

This exclusive remix package features four stunning reworks of ‘Growler’ and ‘The Saint (Job San)’, the lead tracks taken from the duo’s acclaimed fourth album, ‘Modular Baptism’ which was released earlier this year. 

‘Modular Baptism’ was a record that further solidified Pig&Dan’s status as one of the most exciting Techno acts in the business, with the album claiming the #1 spot on Beatport and singles such as ‘Growler’ reaching the top spot in Beatport’s Techno chart and #2 overall.

Kicking off proceedings are two alluring reinterpretation of the duo’s aforementioned banger ‘Growler’. The first comes from Spanish DJ/producer Alberto Ruiz, who fuses the original’s deep resounding synth-riff with warped industrial sounding effects, and the second from rising London-based Brazilian-born talent Vinicius Honorio, who ventures down an even darker route with fierce distorted synths crashing against the more melodic moments of the track to great effect.

Following on are two excellent re-rubs of ‘The Saint (Job San)’. The first comes from revered NY based DJ/producer Boris, who turns the melodic masterpiece into a sharp, dark Techno roller featuring a relentless array of synth stabs. The second remix comes from French-born Geneva-based underground king Lee Van Dowski, who provides a euphoric sounding framework by bringing the original’s piano chords to the front of the mix and introducing squelching synths towards the end of the 8-minute number to further fuel the climatic finish.

‘Modular Baptism (Remixes)’ is available exclusively via Beatport on September 2nd and everywhere else two weeks later.

Versatile producer and industrious DJ KlangKuenstler steps up with a fresh offering of four dancefloor-ready tracks, including two reworks. Despite its provocative title, Rise Against The Arp swiftly reveals its use of melodic arpeggios. Running against a backdrop of groovy percussion and zippy synth pads, the arps build up an immersive synth tunnel that’s an instant attention grabber. Enlisting Hector Couto for the rework, the second track offers a more mellow and laid-back version of the original. The arps lose prime position in favour of a gradually rising melody underpinned by relentless percussion. Do that once provides a more playful construction, balancing out the other half of the release. With old school house style vocals and a groovy yet haunting beat, it manages to strike all the right notes that define a tech infused house anthem. Arado shows off his penchant for developing groovy dubbed-out tracks on the remix. With a stripped back soundscape lined by chopped up vocals, his take proves an equally playful and hypnotic arrangement with an extra dose of bounce.
