Christian Smith stands out as one of the worlds leading exponents of inventive, diverse techno and Stranger Than Paradise continues his enthralling, ever-evolving musical journey with aplomb. The fact that Tronic is one of the Top 5 selling techno labels in the world is a mark of a man who stands for nothing less than pure quality. 
Having previously released benchmark, critically acclaimed LPs Omakase (2013) and Directors Cut (2010) Christian Smith is no stranger to creating supreme, danceoor orientated albums, that explore and showcase his diverse musical style. Both as a DJ and producer, he is always innovative and bold, a leader not a follower. 
Alongside the jaw-dropping excellence of the solo tracks, this new album also features dynamic, inventive collaborations with Wehbba (Christians great friend and regular collaborator), the New York based house music legend Cevin Fisher, long-time studio collaborator John Selway (of Smith &amp; Selway fame), and Christians childhood friend and hip-hop artist Arcturus Ra. 
The Stranger Than Paradise album project will be unveiled rst as four singles released at weekly intervals through the month of October, with the full album release following in the rst week of November on 12 vinyl and digital formats. An album remix pack will be released in December.

The second installment of “No Filler Just Killer” brings together a fresh batch of artists showcasing their dancefloor-ready weapons. Neapolitans Moonwalk finally release one of the hottest bangers of this summer and a Solomun favourite, “Phenomena”. Featuring fellow French producer Rafael Cerato, the groovy cut follows the producers’ outspoken motto of releasing quality deep house that doesn’t keep track of trends. Kellerkind’s “Destiny” slowly builds up on a gloomy, synth-laden bassline, sustaining a melodic tension even after the breakdown. Faint and discrete female vocal accents add an unpredictable depth and harmony, while metallic pads make up the backdrop. The third piece comes from Boy Next Door and unveils a rapid-paced pick up tune, where percussion sets the course. An array of synths, ranging from neutral to jarring add even more flow to the unrelenting dynamic of the track. We step into a dub infused area with Channel X’s ‘Supernova’, an otherworldly journey into spacious grooves lined up by restless zippy synths. The ever so charming KlangKuenstler is responsible for the closing number, entitled “Drunk in Chicago”. With a distinctively Chicago inspired tech-house lumpy bassline and rounded up synths, it’s an instant mesmerizer. After the hook, it only takes a wholesome drum pad loop to keep you on board and enjoy the ride.

Some pure, unadulterated heat from Audiomatique Recordings to help against the winter cold. Berlin-based NGHT DRPS and Keinemusik co-founder David Mayer team up to create some raw, atmospheric and techy grooves for Steve Bug’s much lauded label. Both producers have built their own distinctive sounds over a string of releases, and together they deliver a trippy, dubby vibe for the club.

'Follow' builds an intense groove via fizzing percussion and deep drums, with layers of synth washes, stabs and a steadily mutating bass line.

'Now Loading' continues the tense and taut vibe, finding release via clattering percussion and some heavy and twisted sub bass.

The energy and versatility we’re used to when Reinier Zonneveld takes the decks is immediately evident in his latest EP. Opening preceedings with “Sharp Bust”, a straight and to the point trancy bassline leads the way. Decked by mechanic stabs and hi-hats, the groove is simply hypnotic and relentless. ”Rushchamber”, on the other hand, bears a subversive groove, with a minimal and dark bassline. Glitchy cut up vocals give an eerie feel, as the whole atmosphere becomes more and more immersive by the way of multi-layered drums. The final offering, “Flatchat” is anything but flat. Its intricate groove shares the dark and immersive territory of the previous track, while another set of cut up vocals draw instant attention. A descending lead padded with reverb and stabby synths, the last track rounds up the release, ending on a grave and intense note.

The first track 'Acid Dude' featuring JJMG (Koen's Daughter) features a deep and dark male voice plus a female voice spitting out the tune's title in the teasing and uplifting breaks of this serious piece of dance floor food that is loaded with 80's Acid sounds. 'Git On Down' is also referring to the 80's via its Chicago House style bassline and Disco-ish beats. Git on down and party that's what you gotta do when hearing this gem ! The final track 'Welcome To Studio 54' moves forward driven by an ultra dope bassline combining the early 90's feel with early 80's disco ingredients, while wearing a 2016 hipster Tech House jacket.
