A sommer we have been waiting for so longingly is slowly coming to an end. The days are getting shorter and fall is just around the corner. 'Sway', our newest release by the wonderfully gifted producer Issueswithmysleep is the perfect soundtrack for this time of the year. Introspective, ethereal and yet so driving and convinced of a bright future. A beautiful EP for a beautiful moment in time.

Unconditional giving - that's not only a phrase but my very own philosophy. As a doctor and an artist I dedicate my daily life to others. With my music I want to reach a deeper point of empathy and touch the human heart in a very own way. My EP starts with "Your Love", an uplifting house track that highlights the feelings of a new amorousness, followed by "Something about you" in a 2021 version. This chilled house track lets you dream of sundowners at the beach. Last but not least Gabriel and me have selected "Wonderful Spirit" - intelligent beats surround some ethereal cineastic sounds to create a majestic atmosphere.

Triggering off a lasting sense of heightened plenitude through a minutely woven sound design and ASMR-friendly use of the vocals, Schwind’s micro-odyssey encapsulates all the flavours and complexity of a true electro-pop epic, built to withstands a million listens and still bring its lot to the table. 

A joint effort with SVT and Gardens of Babylon staple Deer Jade, “Imhotep” entangles pure euphoric prog folds alongside whorls of space-discoid escapism and 90s-infused, post-trancey chromatic distortions. Co-composed with Brazil’s Xique Xique, “Stellar” trades the all-out positivity of the previous for a more nuanced, darkness-dwelling approach. As a processed voice entices us in a dim-lit corridor where odd silhouettes and smoke-clad faces emerge from stroboscopic beams, Schwind grants us a one-way trip into the zone. How long did it take you to produce the album?

Brascon: I started the first track back in autumn of 2018 when I went to Stockholm for the first time in my life. I didn’t know at this point that this would be the first step towards a new album. I made many sketches, but I think during the entirety of spring and summer of 2019 I did not work on any of them, because there were too many changes going on in my life: gigs, work, label-founding stuff and more. The creativity came back in the magic season that I love the most:  autumn (2019) … and then I practically worked every day on these tracks. I pushed myself hard, sometimes a little bit too hard, so much so that I think I was a bit annoying to others. The goal was to have it released in November 2019, but I just couldn’t stop finalizing and sorting my tracks. So finally, in March of 2020 I had everything ready just after setting the best deadline for myself, the label, my friends and more: My birthday. I think all that time was necessary. As I like to say, an album sums up all the time in this period of your life and transforms it into music.
