This track was born because a random couple trusted us with their home…

I produced Trip to Heaven in New Zealand, during a moment that felt almost unreal.

We had just parked our van at a small campsite, started cooking and settling in for another simple night on the road – when a very friendly couple walked over to us. They were looking for someone to house sit for the upcoming weekend.

After months of living in the van, using only public bathrooms and showers, their offer felt too good to be true. We said yes… and stepped into what felt like a 5-star resort to us:
a small, beautifully kept garden,
a bright, cozy living room,
a big bed with a heated blanket for the cold evenings,
and a very cuddly cat that sat on my lap after just a few minutes.

We spent three whole days there, resting, breathing, slowing down – and in that time I produced this track. Back then I named it “Trip to Heaven” without really knowing why. Now it finally makes sense:
for us, those days were a little slice of heaven on earth.

This track reminds me that sometimes you have to leave all the comfort and “normal life” behind for a while… so you can truly appreciate it again when it returns.

Isn’t it true that after a long time away, our own home suddenly becomes the most soothing place in the world?

Einmusiks „5 A.M.“ was a well celebrated album and we are proud to extend the trip with names like Acid Pauli (Katermukke), Oliver Schories (Der Turnbeutel), Kruse & Nuernberg (Off Recordings), Animal Trainer (Stil vor Talent), Marc DePulse (Noir Music) and Ran Salman (Steyoyoke). The „5 A.M. Remixes“ are all epic odes to the synth with deep and dark baselines and a strong unique character.

Acid Pauli decided to combine a pumping groove and a really crazy and spiky line without loosing the original. His version of „5 A.M.“ is going straight into your knees - a masterpiece! Kruse & Nuernberg choose to make a version of „Screaming Hand“ and it became a high class house production with open spaces and uncompromised claps. It’s a floor-killer, no doubt! Oliver Schories also picked „Screaming Hand“ to bring it into a match of cold sequences and summer-like moments. The baseline is hard and dry, lovely and gloomy at the same time. Sun and clouds change on the sky. Animal Trainers „Bisloa“ version is a big floor killer. The clap is running, the syths are very free and hypnotic and the vocals are on point. Marc DePulse is on the way with „Sacro Bosco“ - hypnotic and full of powerful moments. A bomb without compromises. Last but truly not least we welcome Ran Salman 
with his „Azur“ remix, which is bringing you back to the start of this magic journey.

Worst Case aka Tony Casanova & Joshua Jesse's “Rocket” EP comes at us with two hard hitting originals and three reworks anchoring on the talents of some of the finest producers around at the moment.

“Rocket” opens up swiftly with an effervescent bustle, as the groove is slowly built up through ascending synth leads. The ear catching leit-motif though is an insurgent guitar sample, reminiscent of 70s power solos. Despite the overall oldschool flavour of the track, we’re quickly reintroduced to present day soundscapes, as we reach its peak point. Surprisingly enough, the tension is smoothly resolved and the original dynamic is reverted.

Centered on a setup of layered vocals, “General Opinion” offers an upbeat groove from the get go, bolstered by a carefully crafted array of ascending whizzes, tribal roars and clattering bells. Distant cut-outs of the vocals create a spacious and relaxed outro, unwinding to a full stop.

US sound traveler Clint Steward revamps “Rocket”, building up anticipation through percussive slabs. Promptly triggered cavernous bass snippets enthrall and intrigue, as the ambiance morphs into that of an otherwordly sonic journey.

Niko Schwind injects his trademark oomph, giving “Rocket” some extra boost. Balancing sharp chops with subversive synth detonations, the piece gains even more fire to fuel the dancefloor.
From the other side of the globe, Aussie Murat Kilic reshapes the audio storyline in “General Opinion” to a progressive, uplifting affair peppered with sunken ringers. Still playing upon a vocal sample from the original cut, the track shows off a jagged edge, displaying a deeper and darker version rendition of the latter.

The talented DJ and Producer ShoSho has appeared on Set About,Toolroom, Material, Trapez ltd, Deeperfect, and now lands at New Violence armed with a sturdy 4 track EP, and ready to cause some mayhem.

We start procedding with 'Heroic' with its big drums, spoken vocals and chugged up bass on steroids, all wrapped up in a fierce set of drums that fire this one along with vigour. A dancefloor winner!

Up next we find 'La Pedrera', which beautifully blends the techier edge of things, with warmer and rounded synthy melodics which culminates in a bit of a winner.

'Cumba' keeps things pacey, as we plough forward meaning business. Big low end, cool percussion, trippy fx, clever vocal samples all layered nicely along this little journey, whilst still packing a mighty punch. The breakdown is a swirling bed of sounds, shrouded in a tripped out dreamlike phase before slamming back in to action.

And to round things off, its 'Da Bolkan' and its a no nonsense tech house slab of solidness, full of swagger that sets us up nicely. Add an unexpected pan-pipe line in the drop, some trippy fx and some cleverly layered subtle percussion, and we're just about there.
