Studio Barnhus comrade Axel Boman returns with a fresh remix of Landside's Chains EP, a melting pot of dub vibes, breaking leads, and melancholic vocals.

Yet, premiering on DHA is Axel Boman's remix, known for his fantastically colorful releases on labels such as Permanent Vacation, Moodmusic, Glass Table, Hypercolour, Tartelet and of course Studio Barnhus.  His remix is a fresh breath into Landside's melancholic landscape, a mix which is stripped down and lingering around the tune's idiosyncrasies. It's safe to say that the Stockholm native's fine art degree is paying off.

Chains EP will be available via Milan-based label Just This May 27th on 12" and digital.

The new Infiltr8:Celebr8 release features original music from Just Jason aka Jason Leva, who has previously featured music on labels including Hudd Traxx, Moulton Music, EIGHT-TRACKS, Blockhead Recordings, and Prismatic Tracks.

Just Jason is also one half of the Latenight Society duo, which has featured on imprints such as Lost My Dog, Nordic Trax and Viva Recordings. He is also a talented graphic designer and the man responsible for Infiltr8:Celebr8’s stylish sleeve art designs.

Complimenting Just Jason’s originals is a remix from American based artist Hands Free aka David Bikowski, who has released music on Connaisseur Recordings, Dilate Records, My Favorite Robot and Witty Tunes.

Understated with clean production and some melodic elements, the House focused tracks on this EP are deep and textured with trippy vocals.

Jan van der Lugt is best known as Tsepo. Under this DJ alias he played for many crowds in The Netherlands and the rest of Europe. After being a successful DJ for 8 years he now releases “Twee”, his debut mini-album that lands on Coloray’s Intercept label. The beautiful 6-tracker strikes a balance between breaks, percussive house, and glitchy ambient.

Jan van der Lugt had his breakthrough around 2013 when he served as one of Trouw's resident DJs. He stood out amongst the pack and his show at Lowlands complimented his upward momentum. After the closing of Trouw, Tsepo quickly got a residency at Shelter and played slots at Wildeburg, DGTL, Fusion, and more. He’s a well-known and highly respected DJ in Amsterdam and beyond.

What many do not know is that Tsepo had been secretly making music for years. For him, it serves primarily as an 'escape and a recovery process'. No, not in a depressed or semi-psychological way. More in a way to reset his mind, on and off. Jan named his debut “Twee” after two important moments in his life. The works on "Twee" are personal and not just written for easy success. It is the result of a beautiful and sometimes difficult time.

Emotive melodies combined with expertly produced beats make “Twee” a warm and eclectic mini-album. The diversity of the music is perhaps best expressed in how easily the glitchy ambient works "Dough" and "Max" go together with the resonating techno track "La Vaca Vega" and title track "Twee". "Extebarri" (where a hard snare is the basis of a driving melody) and the downtempo "Tribeca" round off the release effortlessly - Tsepo knows what he's doing and his years of experience in the DJ booth echo on this wonderful, well-crafted debut.

Few people bring a truly original sound to house music. At a relatively young age, Hamburgs Martin Stimming did just that, demonstrating a sophisticated yet accessible sound that is beyond his years.

Two years after hooking up with Solomuns Diynamic Music, his 2008 breakthrough hit Una Pena made the electronic world sit up and take notice, and before long acclaimed labels like Freerange, liebe*detail, Buzzin´ Fly, Green and Poker Flat were snapping up his work. 2009 saw him release his immaculate debut album Reflections to great acclaim, cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting new producers of his generation. 

His second album, Liquorice, eschews the normal kick-clap/snare template by and large to explore more interesting and progressive territories, but always with that trademark magpie-like sense of texture, emotion and discovery. 

His productions are filled with a multitude of his own unique, charismatic field recordings, and he never uses the same sample more than once. 

2010 saw him pick up an award for Best Newcomer at the Ibiza DJ Awards, following on from his live show (Stimming does not DJ) stunning the crowds at the islands legendary Pacha, and the finest danceries around the world Πfrom Berlins Panoramabar to Sao Paulo´s D-Edge, Brussels Fuse, London´s fabric and Paris Rex, and plenty more beyond. 

Remixes for the likes of Sascha Funke, Claude VonStroke, Deadmau5, Stephan Bodzin and Tom Novy to name but a few have further spread his influence amongst the discerning house and tech community, and cemented his reputation as one of the scene´s most exceptional producers.

Clearly, Martin Stimming is a precious talent indeed. But then again, not everyone loves liquorice...
