Having emerged on the landmark 'Significant Others EP' (with his track ‘Fast Tongue’ released by inimitable New York stable Wolf + Lamb in only 2009) he’s gone on to thread sunny melodies and steamy bass lines for More or Less as well as Gadi’s boutique, vinyl-only label Double Standards; Permanent Vacation and more.

There have been remixes and high-profile covers (Sade’s ‘Sweetest Taboo’) along the way, too, whilst dance floors across the world have all fallen under his charmingly seductive spell. Of course, Wolf + Lamb’s legendary Marcy Hotel is one of those places, and has been since the start, whilst Slow Hands is also resident DJ for boutique NYC promotion and web-zine, Autobrennt.

Madloch's 3rd Avenue is pleased to welcome back Argentinian producer Gero Pellizzon with his first solo release on the label, the Sonar EP. After making his debut earlier this year on the We Are the Future 2025, Vol. 1 compilation, Gero returns with a project that highlights his melodic sensibility and finely tuned approach to progressive house.

Alongside the original, the EP features three diverse remixes from an international selection of artists. Argentina's Kevin Yair delivers a deep and hypnotic take, while US-based producer Ev Rymd reimagines the track with his atmospheric and textured style. Rounding out the package, Brazilian duo Cipriani & Hans Gerd join forces for a collaborative rework, infusing Sonar with driving rhythms and a warm, emotive edge.

thursday morning, 2 am my wife and me started this trip in hamburg by car. we arrived at 6am, I played from 0700-0830 (of course it was a bit delayed), we stayed a bit, picked up a good friend and drove back at around 11am. friday 3pm I picked up my son from the kindergarden.

I am neither afraid of showing my emotions nor to include them in my music - Stimming

Few people bring a truly original sound to house music. At a relatively young age, Hamburgs Martin Stimming did just that, demonstrating a sophisticated yet accessible sound that is beyond his years.

Two years after hooking up with Solomuns Diynamic Music, his 2008 breakthrough hit Una Pena made the electronic world sit up and take notice, and before long acclaimed labels like Freerange, liebe*detail, Buzzin´ Fly, Green and Poker Flat were snapping up his work. 2009 saw him release his immaculate debut album Reflections to great acclaim, cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting new producers of his generation. 

His second album, Liquorice, eschews the normal kick-clap/snare template by and large to explore more interesting and progressive territories, but always with that trademark magpie-like sense of texture, emotion and discovery. 

His productions are filled with a multitude of his own unique, charismatic field recordings, and he never uses the same sample more than once. 

2010 saw him pick up an award for Best Newcomer at the Ibiza DJ Awards, following on from his live show (Stimming does not DJ) stunning the crowds at the islands legendary Pacha, and the finest danceries around the world Πfrom Berlins Panoramabar to Sao Paulo´s D-Edge, Brussels Fuse, London´s fabric and Paris Rex, and plenty more beyond. 

Remixes for the likes of Sascha Funke, Claude VonStroke, Deadmau5, Stephan Bodzin and Tom Novy to name but a few have further spread his influence amongst the discerning house and tech community, and cemented his reputation as one of the scene´s most exceptional producers.

Clearly, Martin Stimming is a precious talent indeed. But then again, not everyone loves liquorice...
