Thoms Traxx joins for DifferentSound Podcast #188.

Thoms Traxx is a gentle soul with fierce determination and a meticulous mindset - all traits that reflect his creations and performances. He has a strong predilection for the more hypnotic & rhythmic soundscapes with the aim to deliver a high-energy level storyline that shifts the listener into a transcendental state. With experiences on festivals like Milkshake, Mystic Garden/Dockyard and clubs like Radion, Sisyphos, Shelter and Lofi.As he focuses on his DJ career, Thoms is also busy developing skills of a producer. This already resulted in one release on Schimmer Records from Stuttgart. He is a resident at @Orphicamsterdam which is known by its underground identity and close community. With technical insights, thoughtful selections, and a dense music library, Thoms is a true sensation to experience and an ever-evolving artist to keep an eye on.

Spectribe is for more than a decade DJ, VJ and multimedia director. He performed at all music festivals in Poland, cooperating with such bands as @skalpelmusic, Miloop, Oszibarack, @igor-boxx. As a multimedia director, he co-created performances by Krystian Lupa, Jan Klata, Agata Duda-Gracz... At the Wrocław Multimedia Fountain, where he held the position of Artistic Director, he collaborated with @brian-eno-official. Co-creator of special effects for the film "Rabbit in Berlin", dir. Bartek Konopka, which was nominated for an Oscar. Fascinated with electronic music for years. Founder of the @slapsuper group, passionate about strong and good sound and energetic dancer. His sets are stylishly heterogeneous and strongly reflect what sits in his head. Supported performances of such stars as: @dvs1, @efdemin, @polarinertia, @dasha-rush, @paulatemple, @answercoderequest, @etappkyle, @headlesshorseman-1, @ashley-phase, IVVO, Deadbeat, @extrawelt4real, @hectoroaks, @fiedelone, @norman-nodge, @daxj, @yan_cook...

STIMMULUS Rage #01 - Spectribe

Extracto de 2h30min de la sesión que Victor Santana se marcó el pasado 21 de octubre en Club Gordo, Valencia. Un viaje en el que Victor llevó a los asistentes por todo tipo de paisajes sonoros dentro del techno, durante más de 4 horas.

Aetha embarked on her musical journey in Lublin, where she began playing and working as a promoter, largely focusing on the psytrance scene under the pseudonym Jot. Over time, her love for classic, groovy techno sounds led to the creation of a new alias - Aetha. Her actions and playing style under these aliases were noticed by the biggest clubs and festivals in Poland and abroad, where she performed alongside leading figures in the techno and psytrance scenes. In 2019, Aetha was honored with an invitation to @tresorberlin for the New Faces series.
She is a co-founder of projects such as FEED, Vultur, and @mandalabookings. A resident at Club @szpitalna1, she also serves as part of the management team. As the Polish ambassador for Croatia's Modem Festival, she was the first woman from Poland to appear on the line-up of both of its stages. For several years, she has been friends with the Instytut Festival, regularly performing at events organized under the @instytuttechno brand. She also conducts workshops in Krakow as part of their @instytutdzwieku school, mentoring dozens of young DJ enthusiasts.
She has collaborated with brands like Goadupa and Egodrop, ran a secret venue in the undergrounds of Krakow called Kinowa, and handled bookings for STK47. Beyond the borders of Poland, she has performed in Berlin, London, Milan, as well as in Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Croatia.

STIMMULUS Rage #02 - Aetha

Piotr Figiel - music producer, live act performer and dj from Krakow, Poland. Formely known for DCM and @peterfeegle projects, since 2014 Piotr performs under his own name, focusing his work mostly on techno, IDM and playing hardware based live acts. His music has always been an eclectic mixture of different influences, original sound design and great sound. Piotr’s work has been released on many Polish and international labels and among many dj and live act club gigs, Piotr also performed at Street Art Festival, Ars Cameralis Festival, Tauron Nowa Muzyka festival and in 2017 Piotr was honoured to play on the legendary @instytuttechno festival in Warsaw. Piotr has been hosting the „Essentia Electronica” radio show at Off Radio Krakow station in 2015-2021. The show became one of the most important promotion hubs for the local electronic music scene, artists, collectives and clubs in Krakow. In 2021 Piotr started a new venture, record label Rwetes. Apart from the solo music activity, Piotr teams up with @gawronski, creating @krakowitz - nostalgic, synthesizer-based, melodic music project. Piotr also works as a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, helping many artists to achieve the dreamed sound of their records.

Promoter and DJ with several years' experience, a member of the @modulepl collective. From 2013 until 2018, as a half of the duo @theeffaith visited such places as Tresor Berlin, Suicide Circus and Birgit & Bier, as well as most of the key clubs in the country. Thanks to his promotional activities for the first time in Poland, it was possible to hear artists such as Developer ( @modularz ), @uvb, @p-e-a-r-l, @setaoc_mass, @remco-beekwilder, @invite-1, @dimi-angelis, @zippo, @ddan-tek and many more.

STIMMULUS Rage #03 - Modifer

Paweł for the last decade has been known under Propane alias. Now getting back under his real name. He has been passionate about electronic music since his early school years, while he has been involved in the Warsaw scene for more than two decades. In previous years, he was responsible for co-founding the Audio Borderline Records label and then the @subraum-official project. In addition to his publishing activities and club performances, between 2014 and 2018, he was also involved in promoter activities, which managed to invite artists such as @rebekah, @truncate, @etappkyle, @bjarki, tobias-freund, Developer ( @modularz ), Sleeparchive, @dj-t-1000, @fiedelone and @swarmintelligence to Poland. For a long time, the strictly clubbing life of performing has moved away and for the past few years Paul has been focusing on production, honing his craft and building the perfect studio. The opportunity to record a podcast for Stimmulus, is, in a way, a form of DJ return from beyond the worlds for Pawel and thus present his perfect vision of techno. The list of artists who have always been the biggest inspiration in technical productions has invariably included @lewisfautzi, @jonas-kopp, @yan_cook, Reeko, @jamesruskin-blueprint and @exium in particular. The set also built on releases from the likes of @tokenrecords, @polegroup and @klockworksofficial.

We go back in time for 10 years, to a well known club in Berlin, where I celebrated the 10 Years Anniversary of my label CLR, and guess what - also played for 10 hours. Can´t believe that this is already 10 years ago really. Still kind of remember that night/day very well, especially the magic moments during the party and also especially at the end, when I played that DJ Hell track. With me on that night playing were Traversable Wormhole, @sanhajimastering Brian Sanhaji, @tommyfourseven_47 and @monoloc_official  until I finished off the night/day with my closing set. These are memories that are ingrained in my brain and I surely hope we can soon do this again. So this week it´s the second hour of this set. All the rest will be coming on a weekly basis, as you all know by now I guess.
