“I am a producer but I feel more like a sound researcher. I like to research new environments, new sonic realms.” In this statement, Italian producer Pyramidal Decode, the focus of this new episode of DYSTOPIA, sums up not only his personal musical methodology but also captures the essence of what techno is: not music but the sculpting of abstract sonic impulses. In this episode, we explore firstly how the intersection of the abstract core of techno with the overt expressivity of Latin cultures has created a powerful techno variant that is now dominant in the global scene. At the apex of this creative movement is Pyramidal Decode, whose own productions embody a wildly experimental, mesmerising, yet utterly concrete, manifestation of what techno can be. He shares with us the background to his unique artist name, his motivations to make techno, the reasons behind his prolific creative output, as well as his newfound position as owner of his new record label PHYR. DYSTOPIA 004: PYRAMIDAL DECODE

This is the seventeenth episode of LTZCAST, featuring @mirkoantico - an artist with a real feel for hypnotic grooves. This set is a smooth and captivating journey that pulls you in and keeps you locked. One for the heads, especially those who appreciate long-form storytelling through sound.

Mirko Antico is an accomplished Italian techno producer, and a DJ with a special taste for the dark and minimalistic. Born and raised in Atessa, a small town in the province of Chieti, located in the Abruzzo region of Italy.

Fast forward some years and he attends that one event that marked the genesis of his inspiration. Minus Contakt, held in Rome and organised by his idol Richie Hawtin is the set point in Mirko’s calendar that got him DJing and then soon after into production as well.

The tracks in recent years has received feedback from top DJs including Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Rafa Siles, Fabio Florido, Dok&Martin, DOLBY D, Dr.Motte, Spektre, Gaston Zani, Raul Facio, Milos Vujovic, Elmar Strathe, Sam Paganini, Bilboni, Luigi Madonna, Paco Osuna, Cristian Varela, Cactus Twister, Maceo Plex, Alex Costa, Alex Mine, Schubert and more and more. Now every day in the studio working as a researcher of the sound so that his music is always better.

Mirko Antico has truly carved a distinctive path in the world of techno. His story starts in the small town of Atessa in the Abruzzo region, a place not typically associated with the global techno scene, but one that clearly left its mark on his early years. This widespread recognition is a testament to the quality and impact of his work.

Whether he's in the studio or playing to a crowd, he’s constantly experimenting and evolving, ensuring that his music remains fresh and relevant in a scene that thrives on innovation. Spanish techno/hypnotic-techno Dj, Ignacio Cuéllar Abascal, born in Madrid in 1990 with great spain projection. Creativity, feeling and passion for hard, forceful and deep rhythms conform the particular style of his productions. He seeks to surprise with a totally new and promising concept, bringing out the sounds he has inside, mixing software and analog instruments, to create the perfect atmosphere to enjoy techno at its best.

Releasing his music on labels such as Asphixia Records, TMM Recordings, Diffuse Reality, Not play Records, Rawsery, Loopaina Records, among others. His music has been played in emblematic places by high level artists. In 2022 he joins two partners to create a label (Loopaina Records) where he currently works as a producer. At the beginning of 2023 his own label Ethnic Meeting Label is born, where creativity, nature and the deepest and most atmospheric sounds are the protagonists.

Fanzine Project is a record label, a school and a booking agency run by artists and teachers, based in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain : Roi, Pablo and Lefrenk. Two goals have been guiding their destiny since 2008 : to promote awareness, expansion and accessibility of electronic music in their city, and to encourage an avant-garde cultural scene through different projects and approaches.

PURVEYANCE TECHNO TRANSMISSIONS #018 llega desde Albacete.

Rubén Monsalve, conocido artísticamente como Monsalve, es un DJ y selector español especializado en mezcla con vinilo, cuya propuesta sonora se distingue por su rigor técnico, visión artística y un amplio espectro estilístico dentro de la música electrónica contemporánea. Su sonido abarca desde el techno más crudo, groovero, old school hasta territorios industriales, EBM o él electro, sin abandonar una búsqueda constante de dinamismo, fluidez y cohesión musical.
En sus sesiones, Monsalve construye narrativas sonoras a través de capas de textura, contraste rítmico y evolución armónica, apelando tanto al cuerpo como a la mente del oyente. Ha compartido cabina con artistas destacados como Adriana López, Reeko, Christian Wünsch, Kike Pravda, Ocktawian, Anika Kunst, Raúl Parra, Héctor Mad, Tensal o jsprv35 entre otros.
En 2023 funda Phono Music Club, un proyecto dedicado a la difusión de la cultura del vinilo y el sonido analógico en Albacete, con una clara vocación curatorial y educativa. En 2024 co-crea junto a DMTR la marca ABISMO, centrada en la experimentación sonora y el coleccionismo, posicionándose como una plataforma con identidad estética definida y compromiso con el underground.
Ha actuado en clubs de referencia como Club Gordo, Family Club, Killing time, LASOCIACIØN o Sala MUV, consolidando su reputación como artista versátil, técnico y con una clara propuesta de valor en la escena nacional.

Salomón es originario de Armenia y reside en Medellín. Es cofundador de Synapsis Collective y Sequence Lab. Desde joven exploró distintos géneros de la música electrónica, pero fue en 2017 cuando descubrió su verdadera conexión con el techno, cautivado por sus frecuencias y profundidad sonora.

Su pasión lo llevó a organizar eventos desde 2018, buscando fortalecer la escena, la cultura y la comunidad en torno a este género. Tras colaborar con varios colectivos, en 2023 dio vida a Synapsis, proyecto con el que ha contribuido activamente al crecimiento de la música electrónica en Colombia.

Como DJ, inició su trayectoria en 2019, puliendo una identidad basada en el hypnotic, deep y experimental techno, complementado con breaks y ambient. Con una cuidada selección musical y una gran intuición para leer al público, busca generar sensaciones de introspección, libertad y conexión entre cuerpo y mente.

Su propuesta explora las vertientes más crudas y viscerales del techno, construyendo sets dinámicos e inmersivos, donde las texturas experimentales se entrelazan con un groove firme que sostiene la experiencia sonora.
