He teams up with his other band, The Dark Assassins and Los Angeles’ finest Chrystina Sayers to indulge us in this Malian inspired afro-futurist soul record, off his forthcoming tape, ’Summer Vibe god’.

After a bit of a musical break, Stiques returns with his long overdue single “Lagos Blues”. An excerpt about finding connections, establishing energies outside Lagos, pursuing these vibrations and expanding emotions in the process.

He had recently taken a break from releasing music to expand his artistic knowledge and broaden the cultural reach of the musical audience he has.

The single features one of Amsterdam’s fast rising singer/producer/songwriters, Eva Van Manen. The record is a soul driven Afro-street tune with the usual live elements always present in Stiques’ recordings.

The record was produced and pre-engineered by Stiques, mastered by Christoph Walter (Lullaby Factory, Amsterdam). Artwork, acrylic on canvas, by Barasketchbook.

Litafin Gambari is a meticulously layered description, going through phases of discontentment and finding peace and solemn in order to start a new beginning with joy. Stiques explores the emotions of an exiled sultan, a distressed lover, realizing how dreams and reality have not matched and finally letting go of the pain and darkness to create space to find love and joy again.
