In-fact, sometimes I feel like I haven't heard a thing since the 60s.

what  has happened to the voice?

What has happened to the peaceful existence? 

What has happened to our teachers, our lovers, our balance?

Our voice has been rubbed out, our minds have turned cold with greed. 
Personal gain-Personal gain-Personal Gain, and in a 2 words it is summed up.

Look at us now, the "world police" we're spiraling downward. Our stocks, our currency, even our minds are becoming tainted with the very ink from the money we use.

What was thought of as a conscious country, does still not allow gay marriage in most states.
Has still not had a woman president.
Still sends bucket-loads of 18 year olds off to their death…
Mothers… Fathers…. Children...

When I spoke with a American Soldier freshly returned from combat he had this to say:
"I don't even know why we're there. Most of us just want to come home."

Lets admit it, we're too afraid to defend ourselves, too afraid war will come to the home front.
Then we push our full scale war into our "enemies" back door.
I don't want to let vietnam happen again!
