The beautiful Molytva - Prayer for the Blessed Virgin - Bön till Jungfru Maria - by the Ukrainian composer Anna Gavrilets, who died in February earlier this year. This is a recording from Stockholm Cathedral march 23 with S:t Jacobs Chamber Choir conducted by Gary Graden. Soloists from the choir is Lovisa Sydén, Anna Lantz and Johanna Kumlien.

Poulencs  Figure Humaine – ”Människans ansikte” – är ett mästerverk från 1943 med text av motståndspoeten Paul Eluard. Avslutningsdikten i denna virtuosa kantat för kör a cappella Liberté – ”Frihet” –  släpptes från de allierades flygplan över nazi-ockuperade Frankrike under andra världskriget för att inge mod till fransmännen och motståndsrörelsen. Inspirerade bl a av Walt Whitman är denna text drivande och vidöppen. ”jag skriver ditt namn, vart jag än rör mig, vad jag än gör, jag skriver ditt namn,  J´écris ton nom,  jag skriver ditt nam – FRIHET.”

Agneta Sköld är utbildad vid Musikhögskolan i Stockholm, avlade organistexamen 1969, kantors- och musiklärarexamen 1973. Därefter sångsolistutbildning. Korist i Radiokören och Eric Ericsons Kammarkör. Lärare vid musikhögskolan i Ingesund. Har varit verksam som kyrkomusiker sedan 1978 och har sedan 1991 sin fasta punkt i Västerås domkyrka. Dirigent för Mariakören 1991-2016.
