An Invincible Summer is the fourth cut from 8000 Miles’ second album, Crystal Confetti. Remember your favorite summer? Maybe it was exploring your first freedom to go where you wanted to go to find adventures and the love of your life. Perhaps it was later when a new beginning turned you around in the heat of a summer to see something you’ve never seen before. Summer has a way of being a powerful time of the year. We all feel it.

As you may notice, the cover art harkens back to a familiar cover from 1973 and that is intentional, because Andrea and Rebecca are strongly influenced by music from that time period. Many fans of 8000 Miles’ first album, Aggregate, have remarked on that influence. The title Crystal Confetti represents the clarity 8000 Miles is honing in their duo’s style and the contrast of weighted moods and flying inspirations.

I have been invited by Combstead @markcombs-928282858
to play some lead guitar on a piece of him. The piece he provided to me was such a wonderful ballad, that I immediately got the ideas for the clean guitars. The solos were flowing due to Marks great and inspiring composition! 
So I feel very honored by that and I am looking forward to further collaborations with him.

The mix is named after a Star Trek TNG episode ,"Children of Tamar". Picard and the gang were trying to establish relations with people who only spoke in obscure metaphors. The 2 captains were beamed down to the planet to learn communication through engaging in battle together...a common goal. 
Music is a universal language....for emotional expression and common ground. These 3 guys from Skeleton Key came together to play some fantastic , well grounded , industrial metal and it is my honor to have been allowed to use their music in this mix. PROGRAM NOTE
The ideas in Snow Day were suggested by students in the Pelham Memorial High School Choir in Pelham, NY. The piece outlines a typical, hectic week in the life of teenagers. My lyricist David Cote and I spent time sifting through various comments from the choral members, and we eventually settled on a few key ideas that seemed to work well together and that helped to create a sort of encapsulated, dramatic narrative. Snow Day was commissioned by the Pelham Memorial High School Choir, Maria Abeshouse, Director.
