Xils Osc - Dream Sequence

Made for KVR's One Synth Challenge using XILS 3 Beat Edition - an emulation of the legendary VCS3 (The Putney!) Synth as heard on Dark Side Of The Moon and loads of other stuff. Started out very Boards of Canada, then wasn't at all.

This track prominently features Legion Series 33 Drummers for all percussion, which contains over 100.000 percussion samples divided over 88 different percussion instruments.  The track is also heavily featuring our 66 Trombone Ensemble and samples from our upcoming Bible of Salsa release, which is the most extensive recordings ever done of high-end Salsa ensemble and solo players.

Score notes:

The track is inspired by Alan Silvestri's Predator 2 score, which contains gorgeous percussion ensembles w/ Alex Acuna and overall one of my favorite scores of all time.

8Dio Legion Series 33 Drummers: "Batucada" By Troels Folmann

Made IRs with Altiverb of Waves Abbey Road Studio 3 room modeling plugin. Used 10sec sweep and also digital spike capture methods. 

Listen with headphones.

Far setting, head measurements 55cm and 25cm.
EQ calibration off, head tracking off.

Obviously much more going on with this plugin than simple IRs.
