PTTRN - Disappear 3 - TOKEN [Premiere]

Patricia Gurband debuts at Float Records with a well crafted 4-track EP called Hypnotized Time. The opening track, Hypnotized Time, is a mood swinger that takes you on a journey where two worlds melt in one. Invisible Dancer, the 2nd track has that ultimate loopy groove based structure with subtle percussion elements and goes on and on and on. The 3rd track, After 3AM, is based on a dazzling sleepy sequence with hefty beats. The closing track, Bouncer, has a modest groovy approach, but does show a bit of teeth around the 1 minute mark.

French born, Berlin based Angioma makes his debut on @French born, Berlin based Angioma makes his debut on AFR with the Divergence EP. Heading up his own Room Trax label the young producer has slowing been making his way through the ranks with his tough yet refined and hypnotic sound. This well crafted EP is also backed with a stunning remix from the incredibly talented, Nørbak.

Title track, Divergence opens with warping baselines, tripped out synths and jacked up percussion. Slow Motion heads down a deeper more contemplative path but still packs attitude. Break Your Chains continues with the hypnotic theme but focuses firmly on power and drive. Closing out the EP, Techno’s latest rising star, Nørbak, deliver a creatively unique, broken-beat and atmospheric interpretation of title track Divergence.  with the Divergence EP.  First pressing in very limited red 180g vinyl.

Andre Kronerts seminal EXU EP gets a comprehensive rework from some of the most outstanding on the scene. Tense and sinister new cuts from Kronert introduce both sides of the release, whilst the label calls upon remixes from Berlin mainstays Efdemin and Ed Davenport, as well as Hollands finest export Juan Sanchez, plus Stockholm LTD label boss Par Grindvik alongside fellow Swede Peder Mannerfelt.

Retaining the slurred vocal of the original, Efdemin layers thundering effects over chasmic bass in his mix of Into The Zone, which saw heavy rotation last year. Meanwhile Davenport brings a wild yet streamlined intensity to C.O.D.E.2.
Side B sees Grindvik team up with Mannerfelt to provide a joint interpretation of Into The Zone, which they manipulate into a peak-time epic, with a soaring melody over hammering toms. Finally, Juan Sanchez channels funk through Roll The Dice with a twitchy, groove-laden rework.

The spirit of EXU is made physical once again via 12 inches and 27 minutes of wax.
