Pär Grindvik has been a central figure in the Swedish electronic scene since the 90s as record store owner, label manager and producer. In his artistic career Pär has released music across a plethora of acclaimed electronic labels, including a string of hits on his own Stockholm LTD imprint as well as Drumcode, with frequent collaborator Hardcell. Pär’s recent output has seen him contribute music to labels such as Semantica, Marbacka, Sinister and Dystopian.

Founded in 2002, Stockholm LTD began as an outlet for singles and EPs from Swedish artists with a focus on releasing timeless electronic music. It has since developed into a hallmark for finely crafted electronic music from a range of international artists.

Over the past two decades Pär’s involvement with the electronic music community has branched out across the globe. Openly passionate about supporting underground talent, Pär works closely with an ever-expanding repertoire of labels and artists.

As a DJ Pär tours the world, transporting his deft and uniquely dynamic DJ sets to techno fans internationally and on a weekly basis. His worldwide popularity as a performer stems not only from his skill and versatility but also as a result of the energy he puts into every performance. It's this combination that enables him to bring the heat to the best clubs in the world.

Pär continues to serve as one of the most exciting and hardworking contributors to the scene.  Every inch of Pär’s work, including labels, artwork, release info and music, is wrapped with heart and emotion, a quality which keeps the sparkle and curiosity alive within the ever changing adaptations of the artistic world.

Today we present a release by Ucker records; a group of Argentine DJs and producers who have worked on disseminating techno music throughout their country. Despite the pandemic, they came together and they launched a project full of love and hope, transformed into music, serious and honest work.

This is their second release which is  commissioned by Michel Lauriola.  A sonic voyage through all the verges of underground techno music, 'No Code Of Behavior' is a full blasting EP, where Michel Lauriola crafted solid tracks with a winning formula: old school spirit plus exquisite sound development, using every element precisely (subtle Pads, filters, distortion, rhythmic patterns).
On remix duties: Children of tomorrow label's head Arnaud Le Texier working on a strident and smashing version of the release title track. A masterpiece when it comes to perfect usage of saturation and dynamics. Owner of Human records, and an influential member of Illegal Alien Records, Fixeer re created the track Concrete Transformation, with a brutal low end, raw textures and an outstanding usage of the main synth of the original tune. This profound and hypnotic journey, is hard hitting for everyone who takes the ride, resonating deeply in  both physical and mental layers, delivering a feeling of darkness and rage only techno lovers can manage in the dance floor.

From this release we premiere the track 'Lost valley' by Michel Lauriola. Techno in its pure essence, steadily guiding the listener into a trance-like state with its hypnotic and solid beat, driven by the repetitive bells and the randomness of the metallic synth-line, simulating the uncertainty of life, stimulating the numb brain cells.

" Hikikomori " Japanese term to refer to the social phenomenon that consists of isolated people who have chosen to abandon social life; often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement, due to various personal and social factors in their lives. Isle of Real's theme is of spaces once inhabited, long since abandoned and reclaimed by the creep of nature.

The ten-track album is the first full-length release for an internationally renowned producer and label owner who has been creating and releasing music for over twenty years.

Isle of Real was written whilst on the road over several months. Nomadic writing sessions on planes and in hotel rooms lead to a collection of demos. These demos later took form in the studio of friend and peer Peder Mannerfelt, where a four day recording session in Stockholm shaped the spine of the album, with Mannerfelt acting as recording assistant. This sharing of resources also resulted in contributions from Roll the Dice on the album’s title track.

As an electronic music devotee who began his artistic career as the owner of a record store in his home town of Stockholm in the 90s, Pär Grindvik has been exploring the world of electronic music for two decades, a history audible on this release. Here Grindvik has gone back to the early UK and US techno labels which formed him as an artist; labels like Evolution, Fragile, Transmat, Network, Rising High and Irdial-Discs.

Isle of Real traverses deliberately between scenes of delicate electronica, tracks like ‘Never Give In’, 'Shine’ and 'Shelter', through into uptempo techno tracks like ‘Limits of Real’, ‘Holy Nothing’ and the anthemic ‘The Marlton’. Dark pools of ambience ‘Isle of Real’ and ‘Tide us Part’ bind the LP, whilst 'Headland' and 'Changes' build upon timeless techno blueprints.

As a body of work Isle of Real demonstrates Grindvik’s talent for melody, bearing hooks which thread through the LP, from its plains to its peaks, and which betray the producer’s mythical influences.
