This song is very special to me. When I traveled up to Alaska I set aside one hour a day to write music. Often in exotic places, crammed in my car, for one short hour a day I would struggle to make music. It was to my great displeasure that I found I could not write anything. 

I still tried every day, and every day I failed to channel what I felt, what I was seeing, and what I was experiencing.

When I finally came back home to Colorado I was able to reflect on my journey, my experiences and my beliefs. I then had a couple months of producing where it felt as if I had become an overflowing tap, rushing, full of feeling, emotion, and energy, just waiting for a worthy channel. It was in writing this piece that I reached a very personal moment, where it literally felt as if I were... "transcribing" my soul.

I believe it still struggles in the places common for me. The mixing and execution are still not 100%, but this track was simply too important for me not to share.

Lately I've enjoyed spending time scouring the interwebs for smaller more underground artists. It's been a fun way to find new sounds and gauge my own progress as a producer. A friend had randomly liked Denaes page on face book and it popped up in my feed one night. I randomly decided to check it out and in an instance I was hooked.  

Every now and then I come across certain artists where I feel as though I can connect to their music in a very special way.  Denae had a wonderful simple indie country sound with some great sad overtones that I could just plug into. In other words, her music felt like mine.

I was instantly hooked with Denae's message, her sound, and in a way, I saw my own vision or perhaps, a new interpretation of what Denae's message was in walk the wire.

I'm extremely proud of this track, and I'm really excited to share it for a multitude of reasons. As my music continues to grow I can feel myself growing as well. Thanks to all my listeners and supporters, veterans and newcomers. Writing music has become the most important thing in my life over the past years, and now I'm really happy to be proud of what I'm creating.

Finally big shout out to Denae again, just for being an awesome and artist who was more than willing to help me out with stems and miscellaneous things that made producing much easier.

Also of course big shout out to my boy @marcmount-1 for getting in to help with the mix again. And a big congrats is due, as he starts his journey as a dj!

So proud to finally release this song. I started writing this immediately after "Hungover" to vent some of my frustrations on the music scene. Over time the song and I evolved and morphed as we dealt with other issues. I've spent over half a year writing this track and I feel so happy and proud to finally put it online. 
I'd like to dedicate this to my late friend Sean G. He was one of the first supporters of Stoic who reached out and supported me early on.  He was one of the few to hear this in its early stages and I'll always remember how supportive he was and how much he pushed me. It brought me a great sadness when recently,  I learned  that he had passed in his sleep, right when I was putting on the final touches. Sean my heart will be forever heavy knowing that I did not finish this in time for you to hear it, and I promise I'll be better at releasing from here on. You were such a light in this world, and your spirit remains in my heart, where your memories will always bring me great happiness, and comfort.

it's hard to believe that 2018 is over. This Deep House / Drum and Bass hybrid of a track is about one of my favorite memories from this year when good friends of mine, Marc and Bailey took me out to Water Valley Ranch to get out of the city and enjoy Wyoming's outdoors for a few days. There was even a meteor shower and Marc and I spent spent our time outdoors with our laptops open outside working on music and brainstorming ideas.  This song is a reflection on a place and time and my gratefulness for many friends , they are what inspires me the most and this is dedicated to them.
