Stolen Velour (@stolenvelour) returns to Kindergarten Records with another confident display of intricate sound design and mind-bending rhythmic fluidity. In equal parts an embrace of silliness on the dancefloor and a serious piece of floor-shaking heft, Jasper builds on the palette of his last EP with the label, Onyx, and elevates Stolen Velour’s sound to new heights. A pair of label regulars switch up the flavours on the remixes. Sobolik (@tomsobolikmusic) strips back the opener to inject some space and a touch of dub, whereas Despina’s (@despinadespina) take on ‘I Know, I know’ tames some of the og’s wilder impulses to laser-in on strobing breaks and a wobbly low-end groove.

‘I know, I know' is split down the middle, a classic eski click and stomp embellished by an incessant vocal sample from frequent collaborator Xu Lai that morphs into runaway 4x4 halfway through, skittish and super swung.

Represented by Culte Agency, in a few words, Iris & Magdalena have been this band since 2023 and offer a hybrid music blending hyperpop, emo-rock, cloud rap, and twisted sound design. Each with a fairly advanced background - Iris is in acousmatics and composes for the theater, Magdalena has released several projects under old aliases and worked on productions for various projets—artists. 

With this debut double single you can expect distorted beats, raw vocals, and sonic landscapes that push the limits of club music. Featuring remixes from Miss Jay, Deft, TTristana, Despina, lilen, and Stolen Velour, this release is a chaotic, cathartic dive into the depths of electronic experimentation.

Each track is a sonic assault, seamlessly shifting between genres and emotions. As the remixes spiral off in unpredictable directions, they amplify the twisted brilliance of martyrX’s vision, offering new dimensions to the raw energy of the originals.
