General agreement that they would like to see more in depth details on how the survey was done and be able to dive deeper into the numbers. Overall, as a snapshot, the panel says that housing as the number one issue in the city feels right. Two years ago, crime, was issue number one. A lot of discussion as to the reasons the  number of residents feeling the city is headed in the right direction fell by 10% to 50%. 
The Roundtable also discussed the upcoming Preliminary election. (Election Day, Tuesday Sept. 2nd.) Among the things they will be looking for. Any incumbents that fall outside of the top six. Where do incumbents, especially Joe Petty and Khrystian King, who are locked in a mayoral race, and Moe Bergman who has had a higher profile this session, fall. It will be interesting to see where new comers such as Dr. Satya Mitra and Cayden Davis come in. Roundtable members expect both to be in the top eight. Hank expects Dr. Mitra to be top six and wouldn't put it past Gary Rosen to also be in the top tier, displacing an incumbent. Other names mentioned include Jermoh Kamara and Charles Luster.  
With less than 10% expected to vote in the primary it is agreed it will be hard to draw real conclusions but it is felt you want a top eight or nine finish to be able to raise funds and be seen as a strong candidate that can draw additional support heading into the  November general election. Hank says that he feels "progressive" voters will make a strong showing in the preliminary but is unsure how that translates to the general election when more voters head to the polls. Matt feels that conservative voters could also show up to the polls in the preliminary driven by a three way school committee race with a notable conservative candidate.
