Hank, as usual, is a master moderator.  A few impressions: 	•	I’d love to see Guillermo on City Council — thoughtful and grounded. 	•	Glad there was consensus that the City Hall protest was inappropriate. 	•	Disappointed, though, that some still view it as the City’s role to educate or coach residents on how to protest federal actions over which the City has no authority.  Criticizing the City for not engaging in performative gestures — especially when those gestures could provoke federal retaliation — seems an unwise use of local energy and focus. And no, the City can’t simply “do both” — deliver core services and posture on national immigration enforcement.  Maybe once every road is repaired, every plan is on track, our schools have librarians, and city departments are fully staffed — then Council can weigh in on national policy or nuclear proliferation. But until then, I won’t be holding my breath.

The Radio Roundtable, Matt Wally, Guillermo Creamer, Randy Feldman and Keith Linhares talk about how recent protests have stopped the City Council from carrying out there business, actually bringing meetings to a halt. A vigorous debate on what is allowable in society when it comes to protest, when does it work against the protestors, what are they trying to accomplish and a conversation over whether the public is being heard. The Roundtable also looks at the politics of an open rift on the council and how that may play out in the upcoming election. Differences of opinion on the new security measures at City Hall which go into full effect on Monday.
