This is written about how amazing it is to return home to Australia after traveling the world and how emotionally powerful it is to fly back into Sydney over the harbour. The name The Colours is actually a favourite fishing spot of ours that we see as we arrive home.  As awesome as travel is, Australia is still the most beautiful place on earth.

This is how Australian press are perceiving Sydney band, Stone Parade’s latest offering ‘Stratosphere’. With this album, which was mixed by world reknown producer, Mark Needham (The Killers/My Chemical Romance) the band have embarked on a slighty different path with a more low fi, vibrant, raw appeal.

Formed on Sydney's northern beaches, Stone Parade were winners of the 2008 International Songwriting Competition  (Rock Category) for their song 'Somebody Will Miss You'.  This song went on to be featured on several Australian TV shows for promo.  Stone Parade have toured with the likes of Maroon 5, Hoobastank, 3 Doors Down and most recently with Canadian rock outfit The Trews.   First single 'Paranoia' taken off their current album 'Stratosphere' gained a 6 month synch for Australian free to air sporting television station ONE HD giving the band extensive television coverage.

Fresh from touring internationally in March 2011, where the band took part in Canadian Music Festival sharing the stage with such great Australian artists as Hungry Kids of Hungary, Birds of Tokyo, The Jezabels and Blue KIng Brown, they are now focusing on touring to home crowds.   2011 has seen the band supporting acts such as Thousand Needles in Red, Floating Me and The Art along with their own headlining shows making them one of Australia's most promising and exciting live acts.
