2020 hey...what a shit year.

I didn't set out to do a concept release. 
I just found myself writing songs as the major events were playing out as therapy.  
The single is "Could Be Better" 
Which was written to incapsulate my internal monologue of how I feel about 2020. 

Not Splitting The Difference, written about the fires and floods and the bravery of the firefighters and rescue teams involved.

1.5 Distance. A tongue and cheek vent around the clusterfuck of Corona virus. 

Don't If You dare,  Written around The Gorge Floyd death, and the uprising of the riots around the racial Elephant in the room.

I wrote this song for my baby girl. Musically sounds like if Brian Ferry dressed like Ziggy Star Dust driving a yellow submarine through a nightclub.

The Sweetest Flower

Inspired by the Beatles, St peppers lonely hearts club band. Cellophane is a psychedelic pop track infused with a touch of jazz. Written, recorded, produced and sung by Scott Gellatly. Scott has shared the stage with two musical virtuosos Sean Foran (piano and keys), and Tom Combes (guitar and Bass), followed by Brad Williams on drums. Cellophane is about transparency. Transparency of racial, gender and sexuality within today's social and political climate. And with that idea placed within a colorful arrangement of saturated sounds and layered harmonies.

'We'll Get Along is a musical snapshot of how we have become so attached to our smartphones in our day to day lives. Written, recorded, produced and sung by myself 'Scott Gellatly', and collaborating with multi-instrumentalist 'omeagachild on 'drums', Ambrose Hone on 'Saxaphone' and Michael  Matthews, 'Rapping'. With influences from Dangermouse's (The Grey album) Stones Corner Club has meshed a Beatle-esk musical arrangement and combined hip-hop with melodic singing.
