It's a Saturday night in 2007, you jump in a taxi and head up to the cross. You find the alley of Earl St light up by a cinema sign glowing in the night. Written on it is DragonFly presents...

You say hi to Mike the bouncer and go down the stairs as you enter the smoke-filled club. The music hits you through its 8ft speakers and the Dance-floor is light up by the 40 disco balls reflecting the sound of music. You grab a drink, hit the booths and the night begins....

DragonFly was the club to be "at" for many years and one I was a resident Dj at for most of that time. This set is like for like in what I played back there along with the music at Hugo's which on a Sunday/Sneaky Sunday's was always a good night.

One of the best eras of music when Australian and French Producers and Djs dominated the style of sound which the rest of the world followed.

Australian dance duo Dance Cult have taken upon themselves to rinse Crookers' "I Just Can't" featuring Jeremih.

Skimming some classic sounding whirly synths akin to DJ Mujava's "Township Funk" while adding ultra clean production game the final result is a timeless bit of kit, especially with that vocal "whoa" echo'd throughout. 

It'll feature on the forthcoming Crookers "I Just Can't" remix EP through Onelove with a TBC on release date.

Stoney Roads teamed up with Motez and the Australian Institute of Music to offer two budding producers the opportunity to work with arguably Australia's most influential house head.

The winners were one AIM student producer (S∆Y∆) and one non-AIM student producer (SINIQ) popping in for a session each in April. With the Sweat It Out signed Motez making the trip from Adelaide, we hit up the Sydney AIM facilities with the first producer SINIQ.

@SINIQ came to the studio with a song dubbed 'Zebra'. With Motez's assistance, they refined and polished the track. Take a look at the full experience below and download the track for free!

Stoney Roads bunked in with Paces and the Australian Institute of Music to offer two budding producers the opportunity to work with the swaggiest producer in Australia, Paces.

The winners were one AIM student producer (Angus Murphy) and one non-AIM student producer (Truples) popping in for a session each just a matter of weeks ago.

With the etcetc signed Paces making the trip all the way up from the nice and sweaty Gold Coast, he hit the Sydney AIM facilities with the first producer Truples, whom also made a journey from our capital, Canberra!

Truples came to the studio with a song dubbed 'Daylight'. With Paces's assistance, they refined and danked the track, shortening the length and adding some cool impact. Take a look at the full experience below and download the track for free!
