What had once began as a small gathering of friends soon snowballed into something beyond the realms of their imagination. Through word of mouth people came from far and wide to experience these moments of euphoria themselves; the reputation of these clubs and DJs now preceded them. They had no idea this was a movement; that they were on the cusp of something influential that would go down in history.

With his debut release on Italo Moderni, Bristol-born, Berlin-based producer Antoni Maiovvi explores Bakalao: the popular dance scene in Valencia in the 80s and 90s. Drawing inspiration from this influential period for underground clubbing in Spain — "Movida Valenciana and its direct heir, the so-called ''Ruta Destroy'' — the four tracks on the release explore strains of Italo disco (unsurprisingly), minimal synth, electro and EBM, backed up by remixes from Jensen Interceptor, Cardopusher and WLDV.

The clouds parted and a shiny, beautiful vision emerged against the sunny backdrop. It were as if the gates of heaven themselves had been opened and a red carpet unfolded as they wandered upwards towards the sky.

There were strange colours which flickered and flashed as the weather systems collided and became unlike anything that he'd seen before back down on planet earth.

Soon he would be in the heavens amidst the choirs of angels and the dancing creatures of the ethereal pink and blue skies.

Maelstrom & ELO collaborate on a track for a new Nuits Sonores compilation called 'Atlantic Stereo' which celebrates the festivals legacy and longstanding relationship with Colombian musicians.

This one bangs hard - you've been warned.

For its fifth episode, the last of the year, the rising & shining British label Sound Du Jour welcomes skilled producer Robert Woodward aka Demetae and his exciting three-track “Space-Time Sleaze” EP. Pleasantly troubled by his many influences, the promising Manchester-based artist has a sonority that spams throughout many spectres of dance-floor-oriented electronic music. From House and Acid to Techno and Electro, his output allows him to flirt successfully with a great deal of genres. His brand-new endeavour, for instance, presents heavy doses of Electro Funk – and it’s simply outstanding!

Premiered here, the title track comes packed with a psychedelic and hypnotic but extremely rocking gait. Vocoded lyrics topping rhythmic breakbeats and percussive elements help to set the retro-infused tone and trigger sweet memories of Afrika Bambaataa and Warp 9. The acid atmosphere delivered by the sequenced synth riffs cannot go unmentioned. Kudos!

Swiss-born DJ and producer Dario D’Attis joins forces with longtime collaborator Haldo for the latest release on Poker Flat Recordings, following on from Back To The Old (2025 on Poker Fkat).. 

Naku is a deep, groove-driven cut that grew from a hypnotic bassline and is elevated by the magnetic vocals. Blending timeless house sensibilities with rich Afro-inspired textures, the track is both soulful and primed for the dancefloor.

"I’ve been working with Haldo in the studio for almost 20 years." says Dario D'Attis. "He’s one of my favorite musicians. We always record what we play and then I let myself be inspired by the recordings in my studio and just make my cuts. Naku actually grew out of the baseline."

Adding to the release, UK house legend Atjazz (Martin Iveson) delivers his signature Galaxy Aart rework, presenting both a stunning remix and a stripped dub version. His remix deepens the original’s hypnotic pull, layering textures and intricate rhythms that showcase his unmistakable touch.
