Discovered these guys recently on the radio (Satellite of course, get out of here with that terrestrial shit).  Heard this song, dug it, downloaded the album, dug that too.  Also, I dig digging.

Fame is about the tradeoff between originality and success. It seems that the more you have of one, the less you have of the other. The heaviness of the song comes from the grime and frustration of pursuing music today. Often the best music goes unheard.  The repetition of “fake” in the hook emphasizes that being fake is some sort of prerequisite in achieving fame. Our present society is overwhelmingly addicted fame, even if it’s only among the few hundred followers we all have on our personal media accounts. The outro, a cacophony of synths, religious hums, wailing guitars, and booming drums, is a plea for purity and peace in the narcissistic and chaotic state of existence we have reached.
