Another 4 bar loop written in Logic then sampled through the MPC. All chops and arranging done in the MPC1000. Tracked back into Logic for final mix, FX automation and tracking of bassline.

Sept 11 2023 MPC Boom Bap

Started in Logic Pro with a simple Piano melody. Harmonized with some chords in the left hand, then fleshed out the arrangement with Spitfire BBC Orchestra (Horns, Woodwinds, and Strings). Chopped it all up in Maschine, added some boom-bap/lofi drums and exported back to Logic for final arrangement and mix. Bass played in live. Added some guitar chops with Guitar Rig 6 for texture.

Went digging in the crates, found a few cool samples from a few different records, chopped, stretched, and tuned. Added some NI Glaze, Pianos, and Bass. Quick little throw away beat.

Jan 8 2024 - Dark Sampled Beat

First beat on the Maschine Plus. Tried to do everything in the box and in standalone mode. Outside of the guitars recorded in, all sounds and instruments are either from Maschine factory or Native Instruments expansions. Exported to Logic Pro for gentle mix

Mistaken Identity

My new concept beat tape. A mix of hip-hop/rap instrumentals I've  compiled over the past 3-5 years. The overall tone is that of early to mid-90's east coast rap. The concept, which came about pretty organically based on the feel of the tracks is that of an organized crime syndicate operating out of New York (There's a hint as to which part of New York). The album chronicles the rise and fall of the organization as well some of the down sides. By no means is this a polished effort but I figured I'd share it instead of the tunes just collecting "digital dust" on my hard drive. I've also included 4 VERY rough cuts that all have "Beats & Pieces" in the title. I hope you all enjoy.
