A fun sing-along song written by 1st graders (Mrs. Bailey's 2012-2013 class, South Kortright School, NY) about "Picking Pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch."

This song was written by the students and me in one of the many "Cultivating Connections" workshops I conduct at elementary schools.

A lively sing-along song celebrating Farm-to-School efforts and school gardens!  "Who Grew My Soup?" was written by a group of Delhi Elementary School (NY) students in an after-school workshop with musician/teaching artist/Farm-to-School advocate Story Laurie McIntosh.

Just Like Me, Climbing a Tree

I heard today is "Pick Strawberries Day". I don't know who designated it as such, but I'm willing to run with it.  It'll be a few more weeks 'til the wild strawberries on my mountain are ready to eat, but there's much promise of a good harvest in all the little white flowers out there blanketing my yard.
Written by Lorraine Duisit, this song appears on my "Groovin' in the Garden" CD. 

09 Strawberry Pickin'

My daughter Ava & I were dancing around in our yard late tonight while my son hunted for fireflies, and we started to sing this song. We kinda liked what we got so far, so here it is...fresh and raw...like the homemade pickle she's eating in this picture, taken yesterday after she & brother Charley & Papa hiked to the top of our mountain, Mt. Pisgah, in Andes, NY.
