Catalin aka @vern-ro was born in Romania. His passion for music started years ago when he was first introduced to electronic music festivals in Constanta, at first familiar with techno through deep grooves and minimalistic sounds. 

His background made him capable to be inspired from a variety of music styles. The appreciation of different grooves managed to develop his abilities as a producer. 

Vern’s sounds are considered unique in their essence due to his profound dedication to discover new music patterns.

The Romanian DJ and producer is one of the most prolific in the minimal underground panorama, with an array of releases - mostly on vinyl - on labels such as Pressure Traxx, Purple Print, RE.FACE LTD, and Winder among many others. In his productions, as well as his DJ sets, he blends the modern minimal and microhouse vibes from his country with more housy flavours, and this extract from his Gradina Monteoru's set alongside fellow Romanians Sepp & Nu Zau is the perfect wrap of his charming groovy style. As 2022 comes to an end we would like to thank our community for the support we have received this year. Our platform has grown a lot organically recently and it's great to see that our effort to create a community of like minded people who cherish creativity and talented artists has been received so well by all of you.

As it's been a while since our last podcast, we would like to thank Vern for accepting our invitation and joining us on the 14th Podcast with a special set to get you through the last days of 2022 and into the start of 2023.

The set takes you flawlessly through minimal flavours, proper energy grooves and some old school tracks, showing the artist's wide range of sounds.
