Dark Eyes

"Amore Mio" is a composition born out of a desire to pay homage to the African continent and the rich culture that inspired it. With this song, I aimed to create a musical dialogue between African tradition and modern influences, blending styles like Afro House, Pop, and R&B. Every musical and lyrical element was carefully chosen to convey a warm, romantic, and sensual atmosphere that accompanies the central theme of the song: love.

The structure of the lyrics is a journey through various African languages, symbolizing the unity and diversity of this continent. In the first verse, written in Swahili, I wanted to capture the solar energy and vibrant spirit of East Africa, inviting listeners on a journey filled with light and love. The second verse, in Xhosa, brings dance and movement, evoking the power and grace of South African culture, with a vibe that celebrates life. The third verse, in Zulu, continues this energy, delivering a message of joy and unity, reflecting the communal spirit that defines African life.

The repetitive chorus, “Amore Mio,” serves as a leitmotif, a universal declaration of love, connecting the song's heart with a sense of passion and romance. Whether it's love for a person or for Africa itself, this simple and catchy refrain carries a deep message: love transcends boundaries and is expressed through the universal language of music.

Instrumentally, I chose a combination of acoustic guitar and percussion, which are present throughout the composition, maintaining an organic and authentic sound, close to African roots. Adding synthesizers, electronic drums, and modern R&B and Pop influences brings a contemporary touch, creating a perfect balance between tradition and modernity. 

The overall mood of the song is chill, relaxing, and positive, with a romantic energy, designed to evoke a sense of well-being, peace, and joy. I wanted listeners to feel transported to a warm and welcoming world, one where love and African culture blend seamlessly.

Through this composition, "Amore Mio" becomes an ode to African culture, a celebration of this extraordinary continent's beauty, diversity, and emotional richness. Africa is my source of inspiration, and through this music, I want to pay tribute to its places, languages, and vibrant soul.

Pretty funny coincidence that my 358th release would be the same number as part of the video game's title.

I gave this a try but I have not really ever tried to match my music to specific video cutscene timing till now.

Ladat, born Ladislav Tesar, is Litomerice (Czech republic) native, body and soul, who writes and composes his music in Chatel-St-Denis, Switzerland. Ladat is not a band in the true sense of the word, but rather a musical project that emerged in 2019 as an escape from reality, because things go better with music.

Ladat's musical odyssey defies conventional labels and freely blends elements of rock, folk, country, and jazz into a rich and genre-bending style that invites listeners to explore the diverse spectrum of influences that shape his emotional and diverse compositions.
As an experienced composer and lyricist, Ladat weaves stories that deeply resonate with audiences and offers a captivating and immersive musical experience, where each song is an expression of boundless passion, creativity, and an unapologetic celebration of musical diversity.

Since 2021, Ladat has been collaborating freely with the Slovenian A7 Recording Studio and musicians around guitarist and drummer Blaž Pavšič, such as Uroš Mohorič (guitar), Gregor Alič aka Hanson or Peter Beznec (bass), and singers Anton Premec, Kristina Jelić, Maja Štebih, Hana Pavšič or Oliver Neff aka Titanic Jack.
