We welcome back Defiant for his third official release on the 'Introducing' platform, this time joined by the cold, energetic flows of Nottingham’s own Rame who makes a highly anticipated debut. The pair combine with explosive results on ‘Cold Mic Man’ with Defiant providing a serious amount of production beef, over which Rame lays his rapidfire vocals, coming with warring flows and energetic expressions. We are very happy to be welcoming Rame to the team and to be welcoming back Defiant for yet another heater.

‘Big Sound’ arrives in an ominous atmosphere, brooding chords swirling around a stripped-back 2-Step groove. Bubbling basslines provide the punch as the percussion gets an intensive workout.

‘Next Up’ raises the tempo and delivers a master-class in minimal funk as the rolling bass combines with a killer rhythm to get your head nodding and your feet moving.

‘Conform’ drops soulful vocal samples over an ever-evolving rhythm for an intriguing roll-out that extrapolates the classic UKG template and mutates it into something fresh and new.

Following on from the success of KXVU's 'The Cave' EP, specifically that of the super well-received collaboration with Razor entitled 'Victim', we felt it was time to open 'Introducing' up to a number of new remix projects, the first of which sees us introduced to the dark and dingey futuristic sounds of On1. He gets busy here revamping Razor's sharp vocal presence into a moody garage roller, refixing KXVU's Asian string plucks into the composition with a new lease of life, putting a wicked new spin on one of our favourite vocal drops this year.
