HP Lovecraft’s weird tales spoke of something real for the late British occultist Kenneth Grant, and for many magicians who discovered the Cthulhu mythos through him.

Rites are worked to invoke and experience Lovecraft’s Old Ones, yet practitioners know that one one level they are creations known from fiction.  How do they reconcile this? This lecture will challenge the way you divide ‘real’ from fictional’ and make you question the way you define belief.  

Ian ‘Cat’ Vincent is a lifelong student of the occult, interested in pop-culture symbolism as the ‘hyper-real’ mythology of our times. A Fortean journalist whose work is in the Darklore and Apocalyptic Imaginary anthologies, he is a contributing editor to Daily Grail.

23 years ago the KLF announced they were leaving the music business. They deleted their back catalogue and burned £1m on a remote island in Scotland. This mixumentary tells their story; a strange and often chaotic tale traversing hip hop, gospel, trance, techno, ambient, house and pop amongst other things. It is my tribute to the band that produced the first single I ever bought, a tribute to a band that, despite becoming the largest selling singles act in the world, remain largely forgotten.
