Dua Lity - See You, Bye Bye

Avec “AMBER”, @ambertambour déploie ses ailes de phénix. Ce projet s’est présenté tel une renaissance : celle qui apparait lorsqu’on choisit de définir son propre nom, sa propre image. C’est d’ailleurs pour ça que l’artiste s’explore à travers l’autoportrait, pour apprendre à mieux se connaitre à travers le son et le visuel. Cette exploration prend la forme du journal de bord, avec pour intention le selfcare.

C’est en rentrant dans sa maison d’enfance, dans un village forestier du sud-ouest de la France, qu’Ambre Tambour a pu développer cette forme de douceur et de care au sein de son processus créatif. Maintenant basé.e à Paris, iel est à la recherche de contraste, explorant le juste équilibre entre douceur et violence : “la chaleur de l’ambre et l’impact du tambour représentent bien l’esprit du projet. Ma musique explore la complémentarité de l’ambient et du percussif, du synthétique et de l’organique”.

The 38th release of katharsis and our final release of 2023 is the prodigious compilation "Embracing Darkness, Absorbing Light" featuring a vast array of artist beloved by the label. Throughout the grandiose line-up of the 36 tracks, the listener is absorbed by various differing interpretations of the theme outlined in the title of the album. Some of the invited artist went full into introverted progressions and meditative sounds, while others focused on aggressive rhythms or anthemic melodies. But even though the styles and techniques of the songs differ from each other, the artists seem to have some commonality in their sonic palettes that binds it all together in a mutual love for music as a healing force of nature <3
