I love Woody Guthrie but I tend to have a hard time singing his songs because his voice is so entirely unlike mine in more than just the literal sense. It feels a bit inauthentic to sing his labor and union songs because I know those were written by a sharecropper who was actually out there fighting for a better world and I was born into a relatively comfortable one. 
All the same I've always had a soft spot for Hobo's Lullaby a lot and it feels like one I can maybe do a little bit authentically and in a way that suits my vocal qualities more than trying to imitate Guthrie.

And I don't know what to put for pictures on these things so I guess I'll just pick random things from my camera which is mostly my cats.

This is one of the first songs I can remember learning to play over a decade ago. The fingerstyle mystified me and the chord changes and bass note stretches are constant - this song does not let either hand rest. 
Some may say Dylan is over-covered, overplayed, overrated (I don't think so to any of those) but who can possibly deny the beauty of his early songs?
