Out now! Homeland is a very special project for me. I come from an Eastern European background and really wanted to explore that musically. Thank you for listening and I hope you like it! 

Some background on each piece:

-Homeland: Homeland is a very special piece for me. I come from an Eastern European background and wanted to express that in this piece. I used an old tape recorder to sample my voice speaking in Russian as well as recorded live instruments. Near the end of the piece I added an old recording of my grandfather singing and playing his guitar.

-Carousel: Sometimes even what seems to be a really rough and detuned piano can turn into something that grabs your heart. This is how Carousel began. I was at a friends house and they had this old spinet piano in their living room. I sat down to play it and became really inspired by its sensitivity to the strings and how soft it played. What I recorded on my iPhone that day eventually became Carousel.

Over the Stars: There was something about this piece I couldn't let go. It brought me so many memories of my childhood. I really wanted to release this and thankful I could include Over the Stars in my Homeland EP.
