Bishop Rajul’s methods have taken a dark turn. He lashes out against his brothers and himself, believing they have not done enough to search their minds for true darkness. The once peaceful bishop has adopted violent methods as a form of meditation, believing that in pain the order can find the answers they seek.

During meditation one morning, Bishop Rajul found himself speaking to a being. The being came to him and reinforced his feelings. His order would not be able to fulfill their task. The Mori were an enigma and studying them from afar would be impossible. Only through channeling them would the order be able to make real progress.

Bishop Rajul has encouraged the order to imbibe in the mysterious Vala root in order to ascend to a higher plane of existence during their meditation. This substance has pushed a number of monks in the order to a darker state of mind, one more like their Bishop’s. Thoughts of doubt have expanded beyond the bishop to a great many of the monks within the order.

Upon being summoned, the Avatar of Doubt massacred the Monks of Doubt, twisting their corpses into Mori. Filled with doubt that was multiplied by the presence of the Mori, Brother Rajul’s mind filled with an unending stream of doubt. He was unsure about every choice he ever made, which ultimately led him to this moment.

There was no possibility of fixing the situation he had caused. He drove himself and his brothers to the brink and their demise was purely his fault. His skin began to turn greyish black. His eyelids began to turn white. He was becoming a Mori.

The thoughts of doubt drove Rajul mad, tearing his sanity into pieces. There was no peace within his mind and the guilt of his actions weighed heavy on his soul. These feelings were inescapable, threatening to tear him apart from the inside

Following this moment, Bishop Rajul called a meeting with the monks who had not succumbed to doubt for a moment of prayer. However, this call was simply a ruse. The Bishop and the Monks of Doubt massacred the remaining sane members of the order and used their dying breath to summon the Avatar of Doubt, the same being which spoke with Bishop Rajul.

Bishop Rajul has dedicated his life in service to the Sacred Order of the Kojari. Once devoted to his task, he has slowly grown dissatisfied towards the lack of progress in his order’s task. He has found anguish growing within him, leading to a surge in doubt. He does not think his order has the ability to fulfill their mission and has wandered around the temple ensuring his brothers are aware of his thoughts.

With the final sliver of his humanity, Rajul understood what he must do. There was only one possible option. He retreated to his quarters, the grey slowly taking over his body. As it neared every closely to his heart, he spoke a quick prayer, unleashed his blade, and plunged it into his heart.
