Bizarre Bazaar has been in existence since June 1997, in a number of obscure formats. However, the official launch of the band was on 28 November 1999. The band is based in various bizarre corners of Johannesburg. It all started as a social club, with a handful of buddies jamming, talking sh** and drinking beers on a Wednesday evening. People came and people went, until a core of members decided to formalise the jamming material into song-structure-like-things. The music is bizarre rock. It is difficult to define as it is pretty unique. The influences are many and varied, from 70ies classic rock bands, through trance, jazz and metal to Bob Marley.
