ParallaX 017 | EKATA

UHF is a Spanish electro duo, founded by Milford aka José Castillo and David Aragón. 
They are an old school djs, highly respected in the Madrid electronic scene, and undoubtedly influenced by New Beat, EBM, Synth-Pop and the Detroit sounds.

As producers begins in 2014, releasing their first single called "Breakers Life", included in the compilation Madrid City Breakers. A tribute to the group of breakdancers from Madrid in the late 80's, captured in a cult double ep, with tracks by Boris Divider, E.R.P and Luke Eargoggle among other artists and released on Gladio Operations who, later on, would also become partners of the label.

They have also released on labels such as HC Records, Noise To Meet You, Distrito 91and Borg Recordings among others.

Andreas, who ventured into DJing back in 1995, started his musical journey crafting mix tapes and spinning drum and bass in Philadelphia's underground rave scene. Currently based in San Francisco, Andreas combines his love for music with his studies in computer science. Operating under the alias 👾 Tygre (@djtygre), he immersed himself in the darker realms of electro, techno, and drum and bass from 1997 to 2000. After a prolonged hiatus, Tygre, inspired by the hypnotic sounds of electro, techno, and drum and bass, is back to spread his passion for music, the art of mixing, and the creation of mesmerizing sonic journeys. EKATA is a UK based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident who's productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work.

With support from the likes of Anthony Rother, Bloody Mary, Dave Clarke amongst others, EKATA's genuine and passionate approach to Electro whilst using music to purvey a deeper meaning has made her stand out in recent years in the underground scene.

Determined to create music that is unearthly, idiosyncratic and exuding futurism of that of a sci-fi film, she always ensures a story is to be told in each track she produces.
She mainly sticks to the dark and eerie side of Electro/Techno in her productions & gigs, where she will take you on a dark and twisted journey through incredibly dystopian, ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.

Electronic podcast since 2016 and a label. DJ and live sets from artists and producers from all over the world.
The purpose and objectives of this podcast and label is not only to explore all sorts of different facets of Electro and Experimental Music, but also to reveal the influence on music through the location of the artist.
