The musical intent of the Grenoble-based artist Binary Digit is rooted in an undefined style that sits at the crossroads between acid techno, braindance and electro. This results in a melodious whole together, with a touch of melancholy.
Through the use of magnetic tapes, outdated software and synthesizers, Binary Digit allows these diverse musical influences to melt into unique and overpowering sounds that never fail to arouse deep emotions.
After several albums released on Opal Tapes and Stochastic Releases, contributions on various compilations, and EPs dropped by Dream Ticket or Zeitnot, in 2021 Binary Digit launches his label Postal Code Records. Its first release, From Berriat To Pitteurs is the product of a brilliant collaboration with the Belgian producer Victor Ziegler - enough to make us crave to discover the exciting upcoming projects that the label has in store for us.

Which artist has influenced you the most?

- It's hard to pick one, but to narrow it down roughly I'll pick "AFX" on "Analord 9".


What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- Some releases from mine as well as other artists are to be expected soon on my tape label Postal Code Records. I also got a few singles coming on some cool labels, stay tuned !


Which artists/labels are more relevant to you now?

- I could say labels like WeMe, Clone, Stilleben or many that have a consistent output over decades. It's to hard to pick just a few favorites =/


What inspires you now to create music?

- Computers, boredom and sleep deprivation.
