Bio & TL:

Bulgarian dark mastermind MANASYt（Petar Tassev) has been rocking his own brand of Nurolektro since 2003. He’s responsible for a vast array of menacing titles on labels such as Bunker, Touchin' Bass, Kommando 6 and Musar. 

An artist that couldn’t care less about trends nor hypes, and whose main driving force is that authentic passion for the genre.
Some of his tunes resemble a future horror movie soundtrack, others a visit to a mental clinic but most sound like what exactly hostile aliens would listen to while attacking Earth.
Currently based in Amoy, China.

... were you madly in love into something and you immediately knew it’s going to last forever? “How long is forever? Sometimes just one second.”
Hailing from the sleepy town of Logatec, Slovenia, this is exactly what happened to Christian in the summer of 2008, while hanging at some drum and bass party, with no idea he is about to enter an unexplored pathway.
The pathway is not so unexplored anymore. In 2013, Christian surprised the Slovenian music scene with his original approach to dark ambient music, while he was performing on the Radio Študent’s Club Marathon tour.
Since then, he proved his skills and innovation as a participant at the Red Bull Music Academy, performing on different festival stages (like Sonar in Barcelona, Dimensions in Pula, EMAF in Tokyo), as well as in various clubs from Belgrade to London, from Warsaw to Venice.

1. Which artists has influenced you the most?

- I would say, my biggest influences were the bands on my father cassettes I was listening to as a kid- bands like Depeche Mode, Alphaville, Ultravox. Slowly getting into stuff by The Prodigy as well as DJs like Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, James Ruskin, Umek.
But most important was the period from 2010 afterwards, getting into Berghain/Ostgut Ton related artists, like Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Shed. Was the most important period that got me into making music.

2. What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- I'm just in the process of releasing a 12inch with Le Chocolat Noir on a brand new label KRI, from Ljubljana. I really enjoy making music with him as it just opened new dimensions to me. 
Then we have a new 12inch in a few months on one Berlin based label, can't really tell which one yet, but I'm really stoked to be releasing music on it. Also have some other tunes with him coming out as a part of compilations.
Then, have some plans for my Alleged Witches alias, but I still need to finish to music. 

3. Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?

- Hmm, I still find the music which I've heard on the cassettes as a kid very relevant to me. Depeche Mode definitely. Just endless inspiration for me. Also various other artists, bands, from various music genres, for instance: The Alchemist, DJ Muggs, Deftones, Amon Tobin, obviously still love techno and sets by Ben Klock, Kr!z and his Token label, James Ruskin, Regis and whole Downwards label, Silent Servant, then music released on Ilian Tape or electro stuff by Carl Finlow, Anthony Rother, house stuff by DJ Qu. 

4. What inspires you now to create music?

- No real bigger philosophy about it, except I just have that drive about making it you know. 
Making a track I would enjoy listening to, not just one time, but 5 times in a row. To challenge myself. 
Until I get bored of it or make the next new thing haha.
Especially now, when making together with Le Chocolat Noir. I think some tracks are much more mature, complexed, compared to what I was making in the past. 
Plus of course, the music itself is still some sort of reflection of the World itself or how I perceive it. You know, the society, problems and crises that capitalism produces. I know my music making won't change anything and that's not even my goal, but still, you can draw many inspirations from the state of the world we live in.
