Mario Ortega, a Valencian-born DJ better known as  @waveletar, is an electro enthusiast and full supporter of only-vinyl sets who started playing records about ten years ago after having been influenced by 90s labels such as Warp, Skam, and later ones as Touchin’ Bass, or SCSI-AV. From that moment on, he became a member of Hypnotica Colectiva up until now, granting him the opportunity to play along with some of the big names in the scene namely Carl Finlow, Boris Divider, and Umwelt among others. We're delighted to welcome C.L.A.W.S. to the series as we close the year. The San Francisco-based artist runs the lauded Squirrels on Film label Solar and Immortal Sin with Tyrell. They include releases by Tans, Lokier, Bill Converse, Chris Mitchell, and his own work. We'd describe the sound as raw electronics with the confidence to be bizarre and odd. Aside from curating and producing, he is a drummer for a San Francisco synth psych band among other collaborations. He's blessed the series with an hour and a half of vinyl only, non-stop steamrolling electro, EBM and jak-tinted journey. Lock in!

Currently lives in Berlin where he makes industrial techno with his cousin Mike Tansella Jr as SONS OF TRADERS, & has released on Squirrels On Film, Diffuse Reality, The Black Lodge Recordings, Nutty Wombat, Soil Records, Raw Culture, Clan Destine Rec, Minor Adjustment Rec,FU.ME Rec, experimental cassettes on the UK's Seagrave label, Dead channel REC (US). He produces music by himself under pseudonyms Hannibal III and The Sympathizer.

Which artists has influenced you the most?

- It's a tough question I can't answer with just one name. But I can say that the band that made me want to make music are the "Beatnigs".

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- It should arrive soon on "FRIGIO REC" something with one of my projects: SONS OF TRADERS ( me and Mike Tansella J.r ) and maybe something on the same label as TANS. I just finished some tracks for a play by Teatro Pubblico Pugliese. There is also a compilation out these days for FU.ME (DAAF TRAX 3 [FU.ME 017]). With another of my projects (La Musique Rituelle et Profane) a Tape should come out soon by PHORMIX. Last but very important is a vinyl only compilation for Feral Colony ss Sons of Traders with my cousin Mike Tansella Jr.

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?

- This is also a question that I could not answer, none less than others. There are very good people around and I discover new ones every day. Right now as I write to you I am listening to Carols Souffront.

What inspires you now to create music?

- I really like to be inspired by the books I read, but of course it's the music itself, that is other people's music. Many of my tracks are inspired by my wife and my son. And, of course, going to a party and listening to music at the right volume. 

What set-up do you use when creating music?

- The main structure of my tracks is made with a modular system that I have assembled in the last 8-9 years (with many economic sacrifices !). But also synths such as Korg Wavestate, Roland Sh01, Td3; Drum machine as Acid Lab, Kawai R55, Roland DR550 . 
My mixer is a very simple SOUNDCRAFT.

Venture Silk is a Ukrainian-born electronic music producer and sound designer currently living in the Netherlands. His journey into music began in the early 2000s when he learned scratch technique and started to dj in Kyiv. Being a self-taught person he is constantly developing his musical taste and improves music production skills. Despite the fact that his music is direct in it’s genesis and influence, there is a whole narrative behind the musical creation. Conceptually, his music sounds similar to Detroit electro and has a breakbeat energy with techno flavor.

This French artist made a name for himself in the early 2000s as one of the resident DJs at Zoobizarre in his hometown, Bordeaux, and hasn’t stopped spreading his love to the electro genre since then, not only as a DJ but also as a producer on labels such as Transient Force, New Flesh, Space Factory, or Brokntoys among others. Nullptr / Bovaflux(Eddie Symons) is an Electronic producer based in Cambridge, UK. Since his 2016 debut on Detroit Underground he has been producing modular-fuelled intergalactic Electro described as "audibly more far-sighted and otherworldly than his peers" (juno.co.uk).

Eddie's background lies in early 2000s IDM, where he originally released under the Bovaflux alias with Highpoint Lowlife Records. Those influences still continue to echo through his Nullptr material, blending into the post-Drexciyan landscape of the modern Electro scene, as heard on his ever-expanding catalogue of releases on highly respected labels such as Central Processing Unit, Klakson, SolarOneMusic and Fanzine.

Stepping out of the studio for both DJ and hybrid live sets, Nullptr has played on line ups alongside the likes of The Advent, Annie Hall, 96 Back, Plant43 and Versalife.
