Wadada's (@rincewadada) raw dance-hall voice with a heavy Angolan accent? Why not. This track has a really nice swing to it and the sampled vocals are by Melo D from an old recording I had. The percussion was recorded during one big studio session back in January while Wadada sent his vocal stems from Luanda.

While some might consider DES a newer artist, he has been on the scene as early as 2012 with his massive single on Moveltraxx, Jumpin Duck. With remixes from Lazy Ants, DJ Earl, Javier Estrada, Vatican Swag and Oui’wack (now Wiwek), Jumpin Duck was a heavy-hitter.   With his last release in 2014 on the Tunacat Label REBIRTH, DES now returns with Milan / Florence, a heavy Afro-bass EP on VOODOO REBEL inspired by a trip from his hometown Milan to VR’s headquarter Florence, with three original tracks and three remixes.   
The EP moves between DES’s banging electro house sound and VR’s more tropical, experimental sound, with remixes from global bass heavy-hitter’s Motin, the Italian Balera Favela ambassador prp, Tunacat’s Boogaloo & Bizt. The title track creates the right tension with a tribal African chant that transforms into a subdriven, powerful cumbia/breakbeat track. Ramen & Churches stands out as the most wild track on the EP, with a high-pitched synth and batucadas on a loopy chant. Florence / Milan is a slow moombahton track, where the Brazilian berimbau meets a digiridoo for a mystical, middle-Eastern feel. 
On the remix side, Motin gives us a superb remix of Florence / Milan, creating a minimal moombahton track. Prp’s remix of Ramen & Churches drives the dance floor into a middle-Eastern journey, with six vibe-heavy minutes of intense teleportation. Last but not least, Boogaloo & Bizt turn the original into a groovy house tune, driven by a hypnotic synth and an irresistible drum pattern.

ZOROXXE - Nefelomancia 
Nefelomancia es la anti gua práctica de vislumbrar el futuro en las nubes. En “Nefelomancia” Zoroxxe explora las las imágenes que nos entrega el cielo en tex- turas meteorológicas a medida que cambia de humor y presión. Es apofenia a través del sonido; la pareidolia auditiva de los movimientos de aire. Niebla, de esa que cohabita con los espejismos donde la atmósfera es más delgada. la altura, y sus desvíos. la luna suplanta la identidad del sol, y el día continua de incógnito. Lagunas en ese verdor. donde antes habitaban recuerdos. el calor de un refugio, de una fogata, y ese poder casi amnésico que tiene el vapor de altura, para hacer desaparecer los caminos que nos trajeron acá. 
En este segundo disco, Dan- iel Lofredo Rota y Joaquin Cornejo combinan paisajes ruidosos avivados por cinta con instrumentaciones emotivas, y golpes físicos de aire alborotado. con bajos pro- fundos y palpitaciones abstractas. 
Nefelomancia será lanzado en el sello ecuatoriano +ambién el 12 de febrero del 2021. 


Zoroxxe is an experimental electronic project made by Ecuadorian Producers Daniel Lofredo Rota and Joaquín Cornejo. Zoroxxe will be releasing their second studio album, “Nefelomancia’ (nephelomancy), in 2020, where they explore nep- tunean themes of vapor, and fog, atmospheric phenomena, mountain refuges, and the mythic characters that inhabit the glacial labyrinths of our consciousness. 
Nephelomancy is the art of divining the future in the clouds. In their second album, Zoroxxe explore mete- orological textures left behind by changes in pressure and humor. It is apophenia, through sound, auditory pareidolia of the movements of air. Fog, that fog which you see where the atmosphere is thinner, the home of mirages. Altitude, and its detours; the moon impersonates the sun, and the day continues undercover. Lagoons amongst the green. Where memories used to live. The warmth of a refuge, of a fire; and that amnesia like vapor, and its power to make the tracks that brought us here, disappear.
