Buenos Aires resident Santiago Garcia's name resounds throughout the land ever since renowned artists from the Innervisions crew discovered his rhythmical driven and melodically touched music. But Santiago has been around way longer and had already left his signature in the South American music scene way before his music made it into the record bags of artists such as Dixon, Trikk, BOg or Lehar. His latest musical piece of art, a remix for Sam Farsio & Frederick Stone's track 'Twisted Feet', does just what the name promises: keeping the crowd's feet twisting and moving and lets it discover Santiago's tactfulness. Turkish producer Kerem Gell returns to Ready Mix Records with his latest 'Vaveyla EP' including two new original tracks: 'Vaveyla' and 'African Children', with remixes from Holed Coin and Kiano & Below Bangkok.

Opening track 'Vaveyla' features complex sitar melodies interwoven with moody synths and Eastern vocals over a heavyweight rhythm section, adding up to a unique and dramatic soundscape.

The Dub Mix of 'Vaveyla' strips away the vocal flourishes and introduces subtle arpeggios to drive the track forward, ramping up both the energy and intensity.

Kerem's second original track 'African Children' builds an ethereal, slo-mo atmosphere, blending a compelling patchwork of Eastern and Western influences while merging electronic and acoustic sounds.

Brilliant live electronic act Holed Coin provides the first remix of 'African Children', adding his own unique, languid and somewhat melancholic style to the track with live piano and strings.

Kiano & Below Bangkok transform 'African Children' into a mellow house tune, introducing heavier drums and rhythmic synths. The duo also turn in a Dub version, which creates an airy, free-flowing groove for discerning dance-floors.

With nearly 95 percent of the current DJ population adopting enigmatic personas, it is now our duty to only present music by artists who have the time to present a deeply coded dance music mystery. Enter R.O.S.H., who first came to our attention via French legend Laurent Garnier (a clue?!?). All the info we were provided - a VHS copy of something called “The Crystal Maze” and references to televised ritual humiliation - was merely the first layer to be peeled back before the ultimate reveal, the kind of “Oh, cool” moment that keeps us all going in these uncertain times.

As any self-respecting Techno Sleuth worth their BPM magnifying glass knows, “You gotta follow the music.” We sat down with a team of empaths to break down the release into a series of generic descriptors we hoped would tell us something about R.O.S.H.’s identity. Here’s what they came up with:

“Techno”
“90s vibes”
“Just the right kind of crazy"
“Emotional”
“Gee, this is really good”

After cross-referencing the data, we found no reason to reject the hypotheses that R.O.S.H. is “probably British” and also “an alien.” All of which is to say that things just got a lot more interesting at Twin Turbo. We’ll keep you posted.

A native of Casablanca, Morocco, Stranger Souma’s musical Journey started off with her learning to play multiple instruments. Enthralled by the advent and possibility of technology in music, she soon evolved into the respected DJ and producer that she is today, crafting a signature sound that is deep, minimal but decidedly soulful and spiritual, a tribute to the old soul of North Africa.
