Never Give It Away -Clay Howard

I used to teach music at an after-school arts center in town.  One evening as I was leaving, a student was holding her arms out, walking the "tight rope" of the cement parking block.  I looked at her and said, "Wow, you have good balance!"  Her eyes met mine, looking slightly surprised and slightly annoyed, as she replied, "I'm a ghost.  Don't talk to me."  I knew instantly a song would come out of that.  And so it did.  And here it is, the October song of my One Song, One Month challenge.  I hope you find it haunting (and I mean that in the best way possible).  Cover art imagined, taken, and exquisitely produced by John Read of Read Creations.
