Almost two years after the success of The Tony Allen Experiments and a few months after the release of the 7” single Amore, Nu Guinea return with a new LP published by their newborn label NG Records. Nuova Napoli is the result of an extensive musical research that became a historical investigation of the sound that shaped Napoli during the ‘70s and ‘80s, starting from the cross-pollination of genres (disco, jazz-funk, african rhythms) which forms Nu Guinea’s DNA.

*Lyrics of “Je Vulesse” are an extract of the poem “Je vulesse truvà pace” from the poet Eduardo De Filippo.

The Napoli formed, Berlin-based duo Nu Guinea creates sounds that are influenced from the idea of an exotic, far distanced place. By combining various music styles that are related to dancefloor music in its purest sense, they create a distinct sound, touching genre routes that go from obscure disco to world-ethno music.

Diogo Strausz is a music producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Growing up in Rio de Janeiro, he showed a prodigal talent for composition from an early age, and this same passion for creating music still inspires Diogo as a record producer and remixer today. Through both solo work and collaboration, at only 31 years of age he has already blazed an impressively accomplished trail in the world of music.

As part of the duo Balako, Strausz’s music was released on Razor-N-Tape, Barefoot Beats and Greco-Roman after gaining the attention of Joe Goddard of Hot Chip. His tracks have been played by Gilles Peterson on BBC 6 and Bill Brewster, as well as described as ‘an enticing melting pot of sounds that feels both retro and current’ by XLR8R. Strausz recently made international waves earlier this year with his piece Pausa on Far Out Recordings, a grand and sprawling orchestral composition, recorded by musicians around the world in isolation.

Strausz’ career began in his early 20s, producing hits for indie Brazilian artists Castello Branco and Alice Caymmi, and co-producing an album for Brazilian actor Chay Suede with Mario Caldato Jr of The Beastie Boys. Now based in-between Paris and São Paulo, Strausz recently co-produced the record ‘Les Bruits de La Ville’ for up and coming French artist Voyou on Sony Music France, and he was recently tapped to remix two songs by legendary Brazilian singer Gal Costa. 

To conclude 2020 and begin 2021 Strausz has two upcoming releases on Brooklyn label Razor-N-Tape: his Emancipação EP which showcases his gift for instrumental composition that feels both timeless and modern, as well as a remix of Brazil’s seminal new band Baiana System in collaboration with producer JKriv.

Petit bout de personnage qui a fait ses armes dans  la musique électronique des années 90-2000,son style techno,hard techno,hardcore a fait danser beaucoup de rêveurs en herbe. Son nom de scène  était"K_I__N". Pour ma part maintenant je préfère laisser la place aux jeunes j'adore l'énergie qu'ils  dégage. Mon univers Techno  au fil du temps est devenu la musique du petit matin qu'on écoute avec ses potes les pieds dans l'herbe et surtout un grand smile de voir le soleil se lever en dansant. Mon style commence à 100BPM avec cette influence  berlinoise et  londonienne est-ce fini à 120BPM. Bref  après avoir fait tout ça, j'ai envie de me lancer un nouveau défi et vivre une nouvelle expérience musicale. Envie de retourner au  source pour jouer mes premiers amours (la funk et la disco)la musique que mes parents me faisaient écouter. Cette musique est faite pour jouer les warm up, musique d'ambiance dans les bars ou les après-midi tranquille avec l'apéro et une  partie de pétanque. 
Mais bon on garde toujours ses vieux démon!! C'est pour ça que j'ai toujours sous le coude un  set electro funky disco boogie pour ceux qui ont envie de danser sur des morceaux qu'on connaît tous mais remixé.Bien sûr de préférence à joué un peu plus tard dans la soirée.
 Cette musique j'ai envie de vous la partager avec la technologie qu'on a maintenant "ddj sz, serato" "xone db2,x1 mk2,f1,traktor" "ddj 200,rekordbox" Je suis en train de bosser sur du mashup et les fichiers stems afin de me créer quelques morceaux  personnels. Avec tout ça je ne vous ai pas donné le nouveau nom de scène qui m'a été donnée par des amis proche (kikilove).Bref j'ai envie de vous dire enjoy mais surtout!!
