This track has a strong latin influence to it, taking the Puerto Rican legend that is Hector Lavoe and giving one of his standards (La Murga) a club mix.

Starting with some brass call and responses, the track drops tempo down to 100bpm in the breakdown and builds back up for a full on party time drop - making it perfect for DJs who like dropping latin bombas!

La Murga makes reference to latin musical theatre across the South American lands from Argentina to Panama.

Il n'est pas de notoriété publique que sous le torrent de musique labélisée "French Touch" qui se déversera en France et sur le reste du monde dès 1990 et pour la décennie à venir, prospérait une communauté de mélomanes férus, entre autre, des sonorités deep-house américaines.

Straight-up Recordings fait partie de ces labels de l'époque qui ont émulé le temps de leur existence cette scène House française, promulguant les compositions d'artistes comme Playin' 4 The City, Dj Deep ou Franck Roger.

Avec ce focus, je souhaitais donner un léger coup de projecteur sur ce label, à mon sens peu connu mais pourtant emblématique du genre, dont les nombreuses sorties peuplent toujours les sacs et les étagères des House-heads aguerris.

ManooZ is a man on a mission. Hailing from Mannheim in Germany, he constantly delivers a wide spectrum between raw & analog US House, Garage and sophisticated warm Deep House. His releases on labels like @morrisaudio, Housewax, @soulfoodbeats or @bestemodus gain support from @agnes, @stevebug, @visionquest-records, @borrowed-identity, @samuel-deep or @tundecas41. Born in the Parisian suburbs, Matthieu grew up around Lyon and now lives in Barcelona. Hamburg defines the start of his musical career, inspired from the people he met and his travels, including Shatz from Tel-Aviv. 'Please, Stay', his first vinyl release, is a new turn for him. Matthieu doesn't want to stick on music standards and prefers to try out new things.

We like to call our style "Proper House music" since we‘re not focusing on one sub genre of House but include many facets.
