We are thrilled to announce the next release on Pleasant Systems from Nu-Cleo, who is widely known for his impressive musical works as Rhythm Of Paradise, Gourment De Funk or Rydm Sectors alongside Nico Lahs, to name a few. Hailing from Bari, Nu-Cleo has garnered much recognition for his releases, which are easily distinguishable by their rich warmth, profound depth, and unpretentiousness. "Never Satisfied" is another demonstration of his mastery, featuring four instant classics that span from the lighter, groovier side of house to a more introspective and contemplative one.

South Street (@south-street-896619231)is a new record label shrouded in a bit of mystery. The team behind it is staying in the shadows for now as their main intent is to focus on the music that they’re putting out. One thing is for certain though, those involved all have the pedigree and experience as this isn’t their first rodeo. One just needs to look at their inaugural release which featured a stellar EP with four cuts from Californian Urulu to know that these guys aren’t messing around.

The second release on the new imprint is also surrounded by a little secrecy. Yaki Incipient is a new alias from a prominent Dutch house and techno artist, but that’s all we know for now. “Cracked” EP features two disco house cuts that are made strictly for the dance floor.

Our premiere is the title track and the A1. Featuring a no nonsense house beat with crisp, punchy drums this one is indeed destined for some footwork. A twirly disco loop is slowly filtered in and is the euphonious hook for the remainder of the tune. The sample is filtered throughout the rest of the track revealing a high string line and a subby cycling bass while the drums evolve around it. Oftentimes simplicity is key and that is the case here, creating a DJ tool that is bound to burn some calories.

After two new EPs released last year on Pont Neuf Records and Jimpster’s label Delusions of Grandeur, both supported by many producers such as Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), Horse Meat Disco or Adryiano, Cosmonection is back on Pont Neuf with a new EP Odyssey. This new maxi from the Parisian producer presents an ever more mature sound universe by confirming its attachment to a deep house sound with many Balearic euphoria influences and a more retro-futuristic approach, synthesized with hushed melodies and warm afro rhythms.

It all starts with "Midnight", a deliciously dreamy, mesmerizing hypnotic and spacy introduction, featuring the sweet and light voice of the Russian Brazilian singer Gystere. "Odyssey" leads us to the heat with a multi-phase and resolutely headlining track, driven by the 909’s groovy rhythm and a series of synthesizers creating an irresistible tension. The second part of the maxi opens with "Lost Islands", a true Balearic and warm escape with bouncy bass and piano chords that leave no other choice than dancing to its listener. Then comes "Feelings", with a deeper and more efficient deep house atmosphere via a dubby approach where the pads merge beautifully with the clattering percussion of the track. Finally, "Solstice" presents another collaboration, this time with Tour-Maubourg where the universes of the two producers combine together, with an ambitious mix of genres where Cosmonection’s spacy and groovy touch meets the melancholic jazzy-house sound from the other promising producer of the new French house scene.
