The Holy Orders were first told that their amps were too loud in 2006.
Since then, the four-piece from Hull have divided the opinions of many sound engineers. The combination of strong songs, melodies, massive amounts of energy and huge dynamics has gained them a reputation as a ferocious live act.

People have said nice things about them as well:
BBC Introducing selected them as one of the bands to watch this year and have included this track on their ‘Download of 2013’.
Josh T. Pearson calls them the "best thing out of Hull since the Humber bridge".

Their album ‘For The Ears Of Dogs To Come’ was recorded loud to tape and is out now on Coal Shed Records.
The first single from the album 'Paper/Scissors/Stone' will be available for free download at the same time.

Over the years they have supported various acts including Future of the Left, Josh T. Pearson, Wild Beasts, Årabrot, The Thermals, Baby Godzilla, Frank Turner and many more.

Originally meeting at the team GB training camp in Athens 2004.  After failing to qualify for London 2012, they decided to concentrate on their real passion.............funky dance music!!!
 
After realising they couldn't afford to buy decent keyboards, or play them........ they devised a way of making a guitar sound like one!!!...........and so here it is, their own pioneering brand of "Ana-lectro" Indie Pop

Another new twist? Fat Synth Bass played on the guitar.  Lead keyboard/guitar played on the bass?.....and then swapping half way through????

STREAMING LIGHTS - Do The Math

Streaming Lights are a three piece Indie/dance band formed 6 years ago in Hull, East Yorkshire. Constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible from Guitar, Bass, Drums and lots of pedals, our music would not be out of place in nightclubs but at the same time, seeing and hearing the band live have audiences jumping around and singing along.
As well as performing regularly across the country, the band are currently preparing to head into the studio to record their debut album. This will be a combination of selected tracks from their past 4 EP’s as well as some new, unheard songs. 
The album will include our latest single ‘Do The Math’ which was recently a YouTube sensation, being the most played video on youtube for a number of days and hitting almost 100,000 views. The track was written about eBay and after working together with the company themselves, the video was made to push their eBay Stories advertising campaign.

The band has been supported by the local BBC Introducing show for many years now. Being invited to the BBC Introducing Musicians Masterclass and going to perform live sessions for them on two occasions. The latest live session, broadcast in June 2013, was called “the best live session of the year so far” by the show.
