Well here it is, another year has passed and damn was a big year for drum and bass. 2021 was a slightly more special year in Sydney. We had a period of time where we were able to go out and enjoy a bit of freedom that was extremely missed. I had the pleasure of seeing Netsky, Kanine, Flowidus, Blaine Stranger, Ekko & Sidetrack and Royalston at some local gigs. I even played at two local gigs (Rinse Out & Bass Drop AFTRS) which i'm super thankful for.


This year saw some hard hitting releases and most notably Dimensions debut album (you'll hear quite a bit of it in this mix haha sorry), lots of Kanine (man killed it last year) and a few bootlegs from local Sydney boy soldat. Within this mix there's everything from Dancefloor bangers to techy goodness. I hope you enjoy this yearmix as much as I enjoyed creating it. It's a bit of a longer one this time round but 2021 was filled with bangers that I could not leave out.

Gezza and I are absolutely gassed for this show. The legends at Hivemind are bringing over one of my favourite DNB producers of all time Metrik to Sydney. I've been wanting to see this guy for so long, and Gezza and I have been given a HUGE opportunity to support him.

I've whipped up a mix that is mostly Ex Machina era Metrik combined with some of my dancefloor favourites and I hope you guys enjoy! The show will also host UKG/DnB legend Tsuki, alongside some huge local acts: BOM, Doctor Werewolf and Shego!

Disrupta & T95 SYD Streetflicker Promo Mix October 2022

I feel like I say this every year when I create these year mixes, but 2022 was easily one of my favourite years for DNB. So many amazing tunes and releases. My main highlights include:

- Grafix' debut solo album Half Life, which I feature quite a few tunes in this mix. (and Grafix in general)

- Kanine absolutely ripping with all his 2022 releases

- A lot of hybrid/four to the floor DNB which I absolutely love. Main highlights being Say Whoa by ShockOne, Get Down by Kanine and Night Train by Teddy Killerz

- Pola & Bryson releasing their Crazy In Love bootleg & Tell You What I Did, which is my favourite dnb song off 2022

- Justin Hawkes for making yeehaw dnb

Every time I make one of these I try to keep it below 2 hours, but I let myself go on for a bit longer, as it was so hard to cull tunes out of this mix (and trust me I culled). I hope you guys enjoy this yearmix as much as I had fun making this. I feel like I say this every year when I create these year mixes, but 2022 was easily one of my favourite years for DNB. Sub Focus, K.Motionz, Turno, Solomon France Streetflicker Promo Mix January 2023

Oh boy, 2023 isn't stopping huh. I'm super stoked to be supporting Culture Shock & Phibes next month! As you would know, Culture Shock's tunes are staples in my mixes. His unique sound production and catchy hooks makes him one of the best dancefloor producers out. I've also seen him a couple times live and he's an absolute menace on the decks.

Furthermore as of late, I've been vibing a lot off what Phibes has been putting out, and have selected a few tunes to put in this mix. This mix is filled with my favourite Culture Shock tunes and honestly I probably could've done a 60min mix of pure Culture Shock. Streetflicker – Liquicity Festival 2023 – DJ Contest

Your favourite Sydney based Dancefloor DNB duo came together to do a 3 hour dnb stream and we saved it all! As with any streetflicker stream there was bound to be some unhinged moments, and there was plenty of that. Including Gezza being forced to play Tour on recorder.

S.P.Y Streetflicker Promo Mix

Absolutely lost for words. I cannot believe that I took out the Wildcard competition for Your Shot Sydney 2023. There was extremely tough competition and I went toe to toe with Sydneys best. A special shoutout to Gowchii, Zoib and my brother in arms soldat to getting to the final stage with me.

This mix was months in the making and was so turbulent. I changed this set so many times leading up to the competition. I was putting in songs that I thought the crowd would want to hear but I was never happy with it.

So I decided to do a complete clean wipe of my set. I only wanted to play the songs that I love to dance to at home, mixes that I've discovered whilst streaming on Twitch and just songs that really describe my personality. 

This mix is a little bit of everything I love, dnb, happy hardcore and kpop (big ups newjeans).

I'm so thankful for the opportunity that I got at YourShot. The competition was a wild ride of emotions, and the friendships I've made there will last a lifetime. I'm so happy that I decided to pull the plug to compete this year after all those years of not being able to do it.

Lee Mvtthews Steppers Streetflicker Promo Mix May 2024

One of the most memorable sets of my life and I only got to play about 25 minutes of it! 15 minutes into my set a massive storm rolled through and we all had to evacuate into shelter. Then after the storm rolled I could to play for about 10 minutes and another storm rolled through so I got cut off again.

Not many people can say they played 2 Chasing Summer sets in one day so I got that privilege! Jokes aside Chasing Summer was AMAZING.

Chasing Festival was my first international music festival ever and to get the opportunity to play alongside some musical ICONS is insane to me. This festival also was the same weekend as my debut releases which is bloody crazy.

This years yearmix I set myself a challenge to only do a 1 hour mix instead of freestyle a 90min-2 hour set. This really meant I had to condense and cut out a lot of songs from this year. There was just too much good music but I hope you guys love the selection I have here. It was a massive year for Dancefloor DNB, with a bunch of belters coming from Ekko & Sidetrack, a crazy run of releases from Circadian, Subsonic releasing Genesis one of my favourite tracks this year, the return of the Brookes Brothers, and Dirtyphonics & Delta Heavy dropping the craziest albums.

I did my first ever headline international tour in New Zealand this year!

Poppy Baskcombs vocals and Olivers production in this track was SCREAMING to be flipped into a dancefloor drum and bass banger. I wanted to keep it as true to the original as I could, using elements of Olivers synths and kept the euphoric/progressive vibe.

I cannot believe it's already the end of 2025! This year has been a massive year for Dancefloor Drum and Bass. Most notably we got new Sub Focus, Grafix, Metrik, Andromedik albums (which you hear plenty of throughout this mix), a Dimension EP and so many singles globally. 

Personally for me I had a little breakthrough this year with my first song to break 100K streams and reach a peak of no.3 on the Beatport Top100 DNB charts with BUMP, and my first UKF feature with ALALA. It's crazy to see how much Dancefloor has evolved over the last year and how much I've evolved as an artist. 

I once again set a challenge to only make a 1 hour mix, which was EXTREMELY difficult with the sheer volume of music that came out this year. Hope you enjoy this installment of the Dancefloor Slammers Yearmix. Until next year!

This year saw the comeback of Netsky to Hospital Records, a super tight produced album (Ex Machina) by Metrik, the euphoric Portals album by Sub Focus and Wilkinson, fantastic releases from Dimension, 1991, Culture Shock, and big releases from the Southern Hemisphere with huge releases from Blaine Stranger, Ekko & Sidetrack, Lee Mvtthews and Flowidus.

Hailing from Western Sydney, Viet-Aussie artist streetflicker has quickly established himself as a powerhouse producer and respected DJ in Australia’s drum & bass scene. Beyond his own artistry, he co-owns the prolific label onesevenfour, where he plays a key role in shaping and nurturing the next wave of Australian and New Zealand drum & bass talent.
