The six-song mini-LP takes off like Queen on a skateboard, featuring Hawkins on lead vocals and nearly every instrument, with help from a few comrades in arms.

From the hypnotic groove of opener “Range Rover Bitch” through the closing rave-up “I’ve Got Some Not Being Around You To Do Today,” K.O.T.A. mixes Hawkins’ chops and influences with a true-to-life cast of characters to create a meditation on life as a rockstar stranded in the suburbs. It’s a short, sweet series of vignettes, but one that still strives to honor the tradition of Blur’s Parklife and The Kinks’ Are The Village Green Preservation Society.

Три года назад именно с пластинки Алексея Никитина, известного также под псевдонимом @nocow, начал свою работу лейбл ГОСТ ЗВУК. В эти первые дни весны мы с особой радостью анонсируем выход его полноформатного "Ледяного альбома" — музыкального посвящения русской зиме как состоянию природы, всегда занимавшему особое место в национальной художественной традиции. В оформлении пластинки использовались работы Игоря Грабаря и Архипа Куинджи.

It’s been three years since we launched Gost Zvuk with a record by Aleksey Nikitin, also known as Nocow. Now in the first days of a new spring we are happy to announce the release of his full-length “Ledyanoy Album” – a musical dedication to the Russian winter. This season always played a special role in the national art tradition. The cover design is graced with the works of Igor Grabar and Arkhip Kuindzhi.
