25 years ago we went up into the bell tower of St Mark's Square, Venice. Suddenly the enormous bells started to move and I watched the hammers swing lazily towards the bells.

Then we were pelted with deafening noise.

Last week, it happened again. This time I had a zoom recorder with me.

St Mark's Campanile

The name says it all. I walked around for a while, past some of the bands that play every night, then ended up in a small street behind the square.

Best experienced with a good set of headphones.

Some goats up a mountan, passing by. You can hear tourists and the cog train in the background letting off air.

The sounds do not convey the smell, which was strong.

An acoustic cover of the Misfits song. Playing a lot with overdubs, despite the fact that I can't sing particularly well. I've always loved the melody/harmony in this song.

Dig Up Her Bones

A cover of Godaigo's song for the show of the same name. Heavied it up a bit as I had a bad day and work and was feeling like a growl. Second instrument is a distorted Melodica.

Monkey Magic Theme

A hauntingly bad rendition of the Godfather theme, bleated out on sax, as heard on my very first paris metro journey.
