This is my Housey Housey mix. This is an example of the kind of music that I'll be playing at my Housey Housey night, with the overall theme being one of celebrating the upfront, anthemic side of house. There is all kinds of old, new and middle-aged tunes in this set and I would appreciate any feedback.

The radio show was primarily about a scene that I've watched develop for the past 10 years or so, involving artists and producers from Europe, Asia and the US.  These artists are producing high quality, intricate music in a melting pot that is influenced by the best parts of multiple electronic music genres and styles.  

Using a DIY ethic that has germinated within the bedroom producer scenes in the UK and the Doujin music scene in Japan, whilst sharing, swapping and remixing each other’s music on this very platform, this "Future Rave" scene has blossomed with multiple labels such as Trekkie Trax, Aural Adrenaline, Maltine Records, Mutant Bass, Off Me Nut Records, MegaRex and others releasing very high quality, driving and exciting rave music.

This is all IMHO of course (as a 44 year old raver) and I welcome any comments about this mix that you may have.

Just a note on the two tunes bookending this mix, they aren't strictly involved in this  scene, but I added them as they seem to lean very heavily into it and I liked them, so they went in.

Future Rave Mix

This is a quick and dirty mashup I made this afternoon after hearing the Oliver track Control.  I thought that the acapella I had of Everything She Wants would fit perfect and (I think) it pretty much does.. Now let's see how long it lasts on here.. :)

Control Everything

Another quick and dirty mash-up. I'm just easing back into music production again and this seems to be a good way to do it.  This time it's a three-way mash-up with the original mix of Voyager by Daft Punk, The Sebastian Lebar Rework and the acapella from Mariah Carey's Someday.  Once again, let's see how long it stays up for :)
